Running explorer 7. Want to open multiple sites and windows inside a single browser task. ? -

Working so all I have to do is go to favorites and click on web page I want and it opens another tab with the page.

How to save a group of tabs (multiple sites) in Favorites (Favorites Center): To save a group of tabs, click the quot;Add to Favoritesquot; button (2 little stars) and then click quot;Add Tab Group to Favoritesquot;. Give the group a folder name, and then click quot;Addquot; and all of the tabbed webpages that you have open will be included in the Tab Group Folder that you have just created and will now show in your Favorites Center. Later, you can also add other webpages that you would like to include in the particular Tab Group Folder that you have created. To do this go to the webpage that you want to add and click on the quot;Add to Favoritesquot; button and then click on quot;Add to Favoritesquot;. When the quot;Add a Favoritequot; window opens go to the quot;Create inquot; section and choose the Tab Group Folder that you would like this webpage to be in. How to open a group of tabs that you have saved? Click the quot;Favorites Centerquot; button and then click the folder that you want to open. Click the arrow to the right of the folder name. All of the webpages will open on separate tabs. The following link is all about Tabbed browsing and frequently asked questions and includes the above information: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows...

You want to install an add-on called IE7pro http://www.ie7pro.com/ It will add various features like the quot;Open New Tab from favoritesquot; which seems like the feature you want. It should be enabled once you have IE7pro installed but to verify it go to the menu bar ( press alt key to show/hide) and got to Toolsgt;IE7pro Preferences With the new window open go to Base Settingsquot;, in the area named tab settings, there should be a check in the box labeled Open New Tab from favorites. This Add-on also adds Mouse gestures, Download manager, AD blocker, Custom shortcut keys, Shortcuts for URLs, spell checker, saved sessions, crash recovery. Edit: An alternate method is to right click on the website shortcut ( you will get a secondary menu) and one of the options will be quot;Open in New Tabquot;, If you right click on a folder it will give the option to quot;Open in Tab Groupquot; which will open all shortcuts in that folder. Hope that helps.

How to Uninstall Windows 7 from a multi-boot system with Windows XP? -

I know this question has been asked before, but I still can t get the hang of it. I wanted to uninstall the Windows 7 Beta, so I formatted the partition where it was installed, but every time I start my PC I still get to choose between Windows 7 and xp. I tried to delete Windows 7 boot s entry from msconfig, but it doesn t even appear there. After intalling the beta again and running msconfig under Windows 7 I found out, that Windows 7 msconfig didn t detect XP at all. What should I do?

You need to restore XP s bootloader. Boot from the XP CD and hit R to open the recovery console. Type the following: fixboot fixmbr Remove the XP CD-ROM and reboot.

1. Open quot;System Configurationquot; : Control Panel gt; System and maintenance gt; Administrative Tools. 2. Click the Boot tab, and then click the listing for Windows 7. 3. Click Delete, click OK, and then click Restart.

Why wont my Windows 7 graphic driver install? -

I have a nvidia 9400, it installs then it just fails when installing. I keep getting error windows update_800F022D. Any ideas?

Considering Windows 7 is a beta, there may not be a fix for that yet. Search Microsoft Support.

It may not have support for your video card as of yet. You will/may have to wait for the final release of win7.

I cant play video in windows 7?where can i find drivers for video ? -

when i play video only but i can see video any drivers??? i have motherboard of MSI

http://www.codecguide.com/

Hi Hardik, this could be the problem with the drivers or due to the nonavailability of the codecs. Try to download the codecs and then install them and then check with it.. Am sure the problem will be rectified. Even if then it is not happening then goto microsoft site and then download the drivers respective to that particular version. the last and final option is to check with the format of the video. Check whether it can support and if it is compatiable with that version of the windows?

do you have codex..if you download and run VLC player it has codex part of program if the prob is not drivers ..do you have a yellow question mark in quot;device managerquot;if so you have a driver prob

IT DIRECTLY DEPEND ON YOUR TYPE OF VEDIO CARD. dOWNLOAD LATEST DRIVER.

Which one should I go for? Windows Vista, Windows 7, Apple Macintosh Leopard or Mandriva Linux 2009? -

Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 or Windows 7 Ultimate/Beta Edition or Apple Macintosh Leopard (latest) or Mandriva Linux 2009 Second Alpha? Which is better?

Alpha and Beta OS releases are intended for testing and will likely contain bugs. In the past, some of these bugs have been known to destroy some hardware so unless you are using a computer that you don t care about, you may be risking permanent damage to your PC. In addition to that, the bugs in the alpha and beta versions may be such that only the most advanced users of the OS can successfully fix the bug and make the OS operational. It is not recomended to install these on a PC that you intend to use. Apple Macintosh Leopard has very spotty support for many off the shelf PCs and it is very likely that your hardware would not be supported. If you are buying a new computer that has this OS installed, you will not experience this. If you have your heart set on it, then you will need to read up on it from one of the many quot;hackintoshquot; sites. http://lifehacker.com/software/hack-atta... I can tell you from experience that Vista sucks. It has browser crashing issues, it takes a lot of memory and HD space and it just plain is not cool. Vista, however, is not an alpha or a beta and is not likely to harm your hardware so it is safe. For the question of which is better, it is really a matter of what you plan on doing with the PC. If you are a hardcore gamer, then it is conventional wisdom that you need a Windows PC to do that. If that is the case, then you should use Vista. It has DirectX, most hardware is supported and it will likely run all of the latest games. If this is not an issue, Mandriva and Macintosh are both unix like operating systems and they both operate in a similiar manner. I personally use Mandriva 2008.1 and Mandriva 2009.0 and I can recomend it. It is a wonderful - beginner friendly - version of linux and unlike Mac, it s free and most - if not all- of your hardware will work. You should not install the alpha or beta version though and if you are not already a linux user, you may want to use 2008.1 because there is a bug in the 2009.0 version and your install may not boot into a graphical interface. This is one reason that Linux is not really for everyone at this time. Linux will require you to learn and tinker around your PC to some extent. If you want to try a unix like OS and you expect it to just work, then you should use Mac. If you are interested in learning about the nuts and bolts and you want your computer to be endlessly configurable, then Linux is for you. If you have some proprietary software that you just can t live without then you need to make sure that whatever OS that you use will run it.

i used windows for 5 years and yes ive had viruses bugs viruses are not ms problem. bugs come always in beta software so wait till xmas when windows 7 shall be released and buy it. now if u have xp, stick with it. if not, go for vista sp1 ultimate. EXCELLENT... I HAVE WINDOW 7 and its VERY futuristic. far above all others. and dont forget for windows, software option are more take vista stick with it, later just install w7... no upgrade needed

I used Windows (all kinds of versions) for years - years of frustrations, viruses, blue screens, and so on. Switch to Mac about 2 years ago - and never looked back. I did not have a single problem since. By now my whole family is switched to Mac, and those 2-3 hrs I week I spent fixing someone s Windows PC at the house, I spent reading....

If you want to have User friendly environment then go for Windows or Macintosh If you want to some type or research or Ramp;D then go for Mandrive Linux.

I am still a windows XP user. http://www.miniflashbox.com

Does anyone know how to install Windows 7 Beta from a external WD elements hard drive to a partition? -

Give this site a look: http://www.defectivekit.net/2007/02/guid... If you ve made a partition already then Windows 7 should go on and install a bootloader allowing you to choose as it does with Vista.

http://news.cnet.com/Windows-7-Moving-be... Here you find everything you want to know about windows 7 beta

Is the HP psc 2400 Series compatible with Windows 7 beta? -

on vista i had trouble installing from disk. so i gave up but it did it by itself without the cd i think. so i was wondering if this printer will work with windows 7 beta thanks

Vista has the basic drivers for the PSC 2400 series. The printer is several years old and was released before Vista came out. Your CD doesn t have the Vista drivers, so your PC looked into its own driver database. As for Windows 7 support... it is likely to be compatible as long as it s got drivers. Most likely, the Windows 7 installer simply contains the basic driver for this series of printer. A full featured driver will be available after Windows 7 goes gold or is official.

Do you belive that M$ Windows 7 will be a success? -

We all know about the thousands of people who complain about Vista, and some of the people who overrate XP. What do you think?

Yes, I have the beta and like it. Many people did not want to go to Vista, and I think they are ready for 7.

find out now! http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows...

It will almost certainly be more of a success than vista. What will really make it a success or a failure is if businesses adopt it and that will depend on compatibility and how much training users will need to use the new taskbar and start menu.

When did Micro$oft release a new OS that worked properly from the get go? It never happened yet and will never happen. XP is not overrated and it by far the best OS MS has come out with.

Whats the official Name of Windows 7 gonna be called? -

I know the codename is Windows 7. i don t know if there gonna just Officially gonna call it that, you know if your what there gonna officially call Windows 7?

Yep, Windows 7. quot;Blackcomb was renamed Vienna in early 2006,[9] and again to Windows 7 in 2007.[3] In 2008, it was announced that Windows 7 would also be the official name of the operating system.quot;

Why did it take Microsoft almost 7 years to develop Windows Vista? -

windows xp came out in 2001 but windows vista was just developed last year if it took so long then windows vista should be many times better than xp

There s been a lot of lively discussion since I confirmed yesterday that the official name for the next version of the Window client operating system will be quot;Windows 7quot; about how we got to the number quot;7.quot; I ll say up front, that there are many ways to count the releases of Windows and it s been both a trip down memory lane and quite amusing to read all the different theories about how we got to the number quot;7.quot; Anyway, the numbering we used is quite simple. The very first release of Windows was Windows 1.0, the second was Windows 2.0, the third Windows 3.0. Here s where things get a little more complicated. Following Windows 3.0 was Windows NT which was code versioned as Windows 3.1. Then came Windows 95, which was code versioned as Windows 4.0. Then, Windows 98, 98 SE and Windows Millennium each shipped as 4.0.1998, 4.10.2222, and 4.90.3000, respectively. So we re counting all 9x versions as being 4.0. Windows 2000 code was 5.0 and then we shipped Windows XP as 5.1, even though it was a major release we didn t want to change code version numbers to maximize application compatibility. That brings us to Windows Vista, which is 6.0. So we see Windows 7 as our next logical significant release and 7th in the family of Windows releases. We learned a lot about using 5.1 for XP and how that helped developers with version checking for API compatibility. We also had the lesson reinforced when we applied the version number in the Windows Vista code as Windows 6.0-- that changing basic version numbers can cause application compatibility issues. So we decided to ship the Windows 7 code as Windows 6.1 - which is what you will see in the actual version of the product in cmd.exe or computer properties. There s been some fodder about whether using 6.1 in the code is an indicator of the relevance of Windows 7. It is not. Windows 7 is a significant and evolutionary advancement of the client operating system. It is in every way a major effort in design, engineering and innovation. The only thing to read into the code versioning is that we are absolutely committed to making sure application compatibility is optimized for our customers. We re just over a week away from showing off Windows 7 at PDC and WinHEC. I look forward to sharing more soon!

From the link below: quot;Microsoft s primary stated objective with Windows Vista, however, has been to improve the state of security in the Windows operating system.quot; They just didn t realize what a daunting task it would be. How s Microsoft doing? Vista failed miserably, IMHO. P.S. Thanks to Apple s OS X and Ubuntu 8.10. I m Windows free, and lovin it!!!

They were afraid of screwing up and generating even MORE negative publicity about poor quality control, software bloat and security vulnerabilities Also, they were waiting for people to buy more powerful computers that could actually run Vista without slowing to a crawl.

Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne Problem in Windows 7? -

Okay, the problem is, after installing my Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne on my Windows 7 beta, 7000build. I can run War3.exe after the installation. When I restarted my computer, the problem starts here. Every time I open my War3, It minimizes on my task bar. When I click it again, it maximizes for around 1 second then minimizes again. I know its running fine because I can hear the sounds of the program and I can see the menu for 1 second. I m wondering if this is fixable. I search the internet for similar problem but it looks like I m the only one having this kind of problem. Here is my Computer Specification. System Information Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1, Build 7000) (7000.winmain_win7beta.081212-1400) Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz DirectX Version: DirectX 11 Physical RAM: 3581MB Virtual Memory: 2047MB Video Information Video Card: NVIDIA NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT (Prerelease - WDDM 1.1) Video Memory: 2035 MB Chip Type: GeForce 9600 GT Driver Filename: nvd3dum.dll,nvwgf2um.dll Driver Version: 7.15.0011.7923 | 11/20/2008 21:25:00 Disp Settings: Generic PnP Monitor | 1024 x 768 (32 bit) (75Hz) Audio Information Audio Device: Speakers (High Definition Audio Device) Driver Name: HdAudio.sys Driver Version: 6.01.7000.0000 | 12/13/2008 10:47:51 Default Sound Playback: true Default Voice Playback: true I tried Updating my Video Card driver, I think I have the latest. and lt;Bgt; NOlt;/Bgt; Don t tell me that I should switch back to other Operating System because Windows 7 is still beta. Thanks in advance whoever can fix this problem. Tried system restore, no result. Reinstalling my War3, it works. But, whenever I restart my computer, the problem appear again. I need to shutdown my computer.

It sounds like two things 1) The operating system : its still in beta dont forget. Most old games didnt work on vista until they had to fix it after release 2)Warcraft3 : its like the answer above but it could be because of the game itself , see if theres a patch or a quick fix for windows 7

How do you delete windows internet explorer 7? -

its gettin on my nerves-all these popups. and there s no way i can delete it under add or remove programs. and i tried to re-install it but dat dont work.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 to return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP Click quot;Start, quot; and then click quot;Control Panel.quot; Click quot;Add or Remove Programs.quot; Check quot;Show Updatesquot; at the top of the dialog box. Scroll down the list and highlight the version of Internet Explorer 7 that you are running, and then click quot;Change/Remove.quot; Uninstall that, restart your PC and you are on IE6

IE isn t the cause of all your pop ups you have malware, adware, problems, and I suggest a spyware problem to. try some security products ..links below for your pleasure..deleting explorer wont solve your problem

classic is correct on how to get IE 7 off, but it takes you back to IE6 (IE is acctually needed on the PC) but if your getting popups, it is probably cuz your pc is infected with something

(classic) Explained it perfectly. do what he said.

============================== You cannot DELETE IE7 - You can quot;uninstallquot; it though. ============================== See: How to uninstall Internet Explorer 7 MSKB:927177 Article ID http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927177 ============================== (Easy to follow step-by-step on that webpage)

Before you worry about deleting IE 7, you need a better browser. Serious and experienced computer users choose Firefox 2.0, not only because it is free, but it has better security and control. You can download it at quot;http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/quot;. After you download and install it, use Firefox as your quot;default browserquot; and forget about IE 7. I would highly recommend the Firefox add-ons(or extensions) quot;IE tabquot;,quot;NoScriptquot;, and quot;Adblock Plusquot;, free downloads that work very well. To eliminate virus and spyware, download excellent free programs at quot;http://www.komando.com/quot;. I would suggest quot;Spybotquot; and quot;Ad-Aware 2007quot; to start.

It s not IE 7 that is your problem, it s the malware/spyware that you are infected with that is causing your issues. Try downloading a good spyware detection program, and I bet the popups go away, or are at least limited.

just leave it and install firefox. works better and faster.

How much will windows 7 cost when it releases? -

About as much as Vista did when it was released, maybe a little more. So pretty expensive.

Haven t heard of windows 7 yet. If there is a Windows 7 then be sure it will be in the hundreds of dollars. Also depending where you are located you have to think about your currency. If you are China Yuan Ren. India Rupees and so on.

Bout, bout a hundred dollars. Yeah, a hundred dollars.

will again depend on the 200 versions it releases in: but the cheapest will still cost u an arm, a leg and perhaps a kidney :-) GO linux

Why the hell would anyone pay for programs or songs?????? Bunch of suckers I guess

same as when vista/xp was released; and like these two, it ll get cheaper over time

Too god damned much.

not sure

a lot

all around $300 i ll be waiting 4 that day

Wireless Adapter and Windows 7? -

Hi, I have a LevelOne WNC 0301 Wireless adapter (runs on the same chipset as virtually every 802.11b/g wireless adapter) and Windows 7 can t figure out what it is, and the drivers won t install. I get a message saying quot;please insert the adapter prior to the Utility/Driver installation. help.

Win 7 doesn t have a full compliment of drivers yet. Glad my wireless to my Belkin works cuz I changed my Vista Laptop to Win 7 Beta and all is fine. Absolutely no conflicts with my Gateway Laptop. Sarge

i had the same problem with my belkin card and windows 7, i had to install the driver in compatibility mode for win xp sp2

How do I uninstall windows 7? -

I got the windows 7 beta and I want to uninstall it but that thing is that I don t have the windows vista dvd so what can I do to install back the windows vista without having the vista dvd?

Ultimately, you can t. You need the disks inorder to install Vista or any operating system.

you did not read the instructions There is not really a way to uninstall Windows 7. The procedure to remove Windows 7 depends on the computer system at hand. Was Windows 7 installed as another operating system in a multi-boot environment or as the only operating system? Is there data on the Windows 7 partition that needs to be backed up because it is still needed? The easiest solution to uninstall Windows 7 would be to simply erase the data on the partition and join that partition again with another one or directly install a new operating system on it. Here is a quick guide what you should consider when uninstalling Windows 7. http://windows7news.com/2009/01/28/unins...

you have to buy the vista disk and re install vista next time read the insturctions its a BETA ,meaning its for testing and is not supposed to be used on your main computer as your main os

You don t. This is why you shouldn t install beta software unless you know what you are doing.

How do i reinstall my windows 7? -

I installed Windows 7 with no cd and no memory stick.. and i tried to install mirrors edge and tried to open a file with Notepad, not every program on Windows 7 OS wants to open with notepad.. and even avast anti-virus wants to open with notepad.. i would like to reinstall, or remove windows 7

First off, as Jason pointed out, you need to burn the ISO. I recommend taking a look at the installation instructions provided by Microsoft, as well as the FAQ page before you go ahead with the install. Here are links to both of those sites. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... Cheers, Jeff Windows Outreach Team

Download the ISO, burn it, then boot to it and reinstall.

Windows 7 installation issues? -

Has anybody had problems installing Windows 7 beta? I ve downloaded it twice and burned three copies from each download. I ve used two different .iso burners also. I keep getting a 0x80070570 error saying there is missing or corrupt install files.

dude just to let you know...... I have used window seven and it has problems. sometimes it freezes and you can t use multiple accounts people who designed are releasing it for testing purposes only I don t recomend you to use it yet it messed up my computer

I had to burn 3 disks as well... i used sonic and the first 2 disks were unsuccessful...but that may have been because i downloaded it before it was released...but i downloaded another one when i got my product key and that burned successfully and im installing it now...hope nothing goes wrong!!!

You burned from a bad iso file.

When is the public beta for windows 7 being released? -

probably in december but its already out on torrent sites

Windows 7 .? -

i was going to install windows 7 but if i do do i lose my antivirus program or will it carry over to windows 7 my anti virus program is mc afee

You will loose everything, not just your anti virus software. The Windows 7 beta that is now being offered will only run for about 5 months anyway. It would probably be a better idea to wait for the retail release of the OS before installing it.

If you install it on the same drive: All your files will be deleted. If you install it on a seperate drive: Your anti-virus will not quot;go overquot; in Win7 because WinXP/Vista and Win7 is completely independent from each other. You can install it again in Win7 and it will work.

Actuall yWindows 7 BETA too is like an OS .You need to install ur softwares all again. I too have Windows 7 in m pc. t has got newly branded appearence but in terms of performance the answer is .......? If u wanna show off Windows 7 iss your choice, If u wanna have a well maintained comuter , WINDOWS XP ROCKZ

Your anti-virus software will not carryover to Windows 7 Beta. David has provided you with the proper list of recommended anti-virus software one should use with the Beta. Before you go ahead and download the Windows 7 Beta be sure to check out the Windows 7 FAQ and Installation pages. There are a few important things someone should know before trying out a Beta OS, especially if they have never used a beta OS before. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... Cheers and thanks for your interest in Windows 7 Beta! Jeff Windows Outreach Team

Beta version does not promise to safe your files. No. They tell to backup everything and only then to install this beta to avoid data loss.

you can only use theses only 3 are offered Symantec offers the Norton 360 3.0 Beta which works on the Windows 7 Beta AVG offers AVG Internet Security and AVG Anti-Virus that works with the Windows 7 Beta Kaspersky is offering a technical preview of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows 7.

Windows 7 Beta Wont Connect to the Internet? -

I just installed windows 7 on my other computer and it won t connect to the internet, and my other Vista machine dose. What can I do about this problem.

My name is Jeff and I work with the Windows Outreach Team. Although I am not tech support, I have one idea that you should look into. Check the IP address of the computer running Windows 7. If you are getting all 0 s, try renewing the IP address. If that doesn t get the problem fixed and you cannot get any help on Yahoo Answers, try posting this problem with as many details as you have about the situation on http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Foru... Good Luck, Jeff Windows Outreach Team

Well i connect fine what is the message you are getting more info please

Windows 7 installation problem? -

I tried to upgrade to windows 7 and everything worked great until it got to Completing installation when it was installing the drivers... after about 5min. of saying installing drivers and setting up your system the blue screen of death came up ...and then the computer restarted and restored everything back to vista when it finished restoring and was started up it said to try to contact microsoft... disable your sound card or update your sound card I have Sound Blaster Live 24 bit which is old... I tried updating it but that didnt work... Please help...

Its a really bad idea to upgrade from vista to a veta version as beta versions can be unstable. Try making a second partition to install vista in. Go to startgt;Computergt;right click to managegt;Disk managementgt;Right click your main driver and click quot;shrinkquot;gt;go through the steps and put as much gb as you wantgt;restart and try the installation process again, except this time press custom or dont press upgrade. You will find the new partition that you made and install it there. Now you have 2 operating systems - Vista and Windows 7. You probably want to upgrade because all your files are in vista, but its advised not to because again, its a beta version and all your files may become corrupt if something goes wrong. By dual booting, you can just delete that partition after your testing of windows 7 beta is over. Then you can buy the REAL windows 7 and upgrade vista.

I crashed when the automatic update for Windows 7 came along. I restored to v. 6 and turned off automatic updates.

I am testing windows 7? -

as any of you testing window 7 had this problem I am on answers using windows 7 I answered a question the come to send it then I get this pop up Sorry, Unable to process request at this time -- error 999. Yahoo! Unfortunately we are unable to process your request at this time. This error is usually temporary. Please try again later. If you continue to experience this error, it may be caused by one of the following: * You may want to scan your system for spyware and viruses, as they may interfere with your ability to connect to Yahoo!. For detailed information on spyware and virus protection, please visit the Yahoo! Security Center. * This problem may be due to unusual network activity coming from your Internet Service Provider. We recommend that you report this problem to them. While this error is usually temporary, if it continues and the above solutions don t resolve your problem, please let us know. now I only install windows 7 yesterday so Have I got spyware or a virus already in less than 24 hours I am careful what I download and what website I visit

error 999 is a fairly common notification that pops up particularly with Yahoo sites and is not indigenous to Windows 7 BETA 1. I have had the same problem whilst using Firefox 3 with Linux, one of the reasons I rolled back to Firefox 2. In Windows 7 the default browser is Internet Explorer 8 BETA 2 which as yet is not particularly stable. I recommend installing and making Google Chrome as your default browser. I have found it to be lightning fast without any issues http://www.google.com/chrome You have no spyware or viruses. I have modest security on my Windows 7 with AVG 8 Free Edition http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-vi... and Spybot Search and Destroy 1.6 http://www.safer-networking.org/en/ running along side Windows 7 UAC set to medium. LUG.

I m on Win7 and I can access Yahoo answers just fine. It might be a temporary network glitch. Try once again and see if you can repro the problem consistently. If you can, there is a quot;Send Feedbackquot; link on the title bar of every window. Click that and it ll bring up a Report issue dialog. Put down the steps you were trying when you faced this error. The tool will even take a screen shot and submit it to Microsoft.

Is there a CD version of Windows 7 Beta available for download? -

Over at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... Windows 7 Laboratory, there is a down-loadable edition of the Beta released, However you require a DVD burner to put the Image file on. I only have a CD Burner With CD s Max at 700MB, so Unfortunately I cant test the Beta .

Good question! Had the same problem .I don t think its possible! What i advice is to transfer it 2 a usb device amp; have it done at 1 of ur friends place who has a dvd burner!

no, its to big to fit on a CD. if you do some googleing there are tuts on how to install it without putting it on a cd. just google how to install windows 7 beta with out burnng to a dvd. but, if you are running 32 windows xp or vista you will need the 32 bit version of the beta. if you are unsure of what kind you have download the 32 bit because it is comatible no matter what. but ya, just google it, ps the beta is sweet, its what vista should have been. hope you get it.

CDs are old news. They re what, two generations down now... The Windows 7 Beta is just to big to fit on CDs, and Microsoft are not going to go to the trouble of making it fit on x many CDs just for a beta. Why not go out and buy a DVD writer? They re dirt cheap now a days.

the on you will get it the demo.sometimes the demo screws up pcs and messes up the drive go on google and search for it.it messes up pcs.thinks b4 u get it

No, the image is a DVD iso, so you will need a DVD burner.

unless u want PIRATED cd...lolz

Will Windows 7 keep my drivers when I update? -

Wireless drivers for my linksys wmp110 cant be found for 7 on the internet and it doesn t just recognize it. So if I update will it keep the drivers?

Windows 7 is beta and for testing purposes only. In 8 months time you will not be able to use it any more. In 2010 it will come out officially and until then, you should stick with Vista. Download windows 7 on a second partition and test it out

Do you think I can run windows 7 beta? -

Ok so i have this old computer that I want to try Windows 7 beta on. Here are the system specs: 20GB HDD, 400 MB ram, Windows Xp SP2, Intel Celeron 700 Mhz. Now I know what the minimum requirements for Windows 7 are so I am wondering if I will be able to still run Windows 7 on this machine even if its a little slow. I don t have any other computer I can test it on.

I am sorry to say, but no. The minimum specs required is 1 gb of RAM, 1 Ghz (Not Mhz). But you can try it, but make sure you do a clean install. There s nothing wrong in trying right? Oh and BACKUP YOUR FILES. Trust me.

Hard drive is fine, ram is waay to low, but RAM is cheap, so you can easily upgrade that. You need to have Vista to think about windows 7 beta, so you will have to buy that if you do not have it, and the processor sucks. So no. The processor is extremely slow, and if you buy a new one, you will have to change the motherboard, and the RAM, at which point, you are almost building a new computer.

you have barely enough ram to run XP (1Gb) recommended CPU to slow, you can try but if it freezes up don t say you weren t warned. How much disc space required to run windows 7??

It might run very slow if you install it on that computer.

apparently windows 7 looks like a linux distribution... why not try kubuntu or something?

No. One notable clue is the RAM, it MUST be higher. 2 GB or so. Regards, Dane

What is Windows 7 ? Is it a new Operating System? -

What is Windows 7? Is it a new Operating System?

Windows 7 is the new OS from microsoft. its newer and hopefully better than vista.

yes it is the latest OS from MS still to be released probably next year we dont know much about it coz windows withheld more information to the end users, it will take over Vista as it was a flop though they didnt say that but its quiet clear, they only released SP1 only and they already announced Windows 7 to take over the reignm, lets just hope it is an improved version of Xp and not Vista

Yes Windows 7 is Microsoft s latest Operating System after Windows Vista. Microsoft showcased there latest Operating System at Professional Developers Conference. Below are the features and screenshots of Windows 7 Windows 7 Firstlook and Screenshots http://cogadget.com/2008/10/28/checkout-... Windows 7 Features http://cogadget.com/2008/10/29/pre-beta-... All news and updates about Windows 7 http://cogadget.com/tag/windows-7/

Believe it or not Vista is two years old. Windows 7 is the next version of windows, said to be more geek friendly. In the past windows has acted like all users were as technical as your mom and tried to hide things and generally treat you like an idiot. Windows 7 is supposed to be more customizable. but quite frankly I don t think MS can resist their urge to limit usage.

How do i back up my computer files to download Windows 7? -

hello everyone! i want to install the new (trial) Windows 7. on the instructions it said to backup the information beacuse its possible to lose some of my files. please help! and if u have downloaded Windows 7....can u please tell me how the process works. Is it difficult?? thanks. -Gabby.

buy a good external hard drive and just copy everything you need to it. i wouldn t install windows 7 onto anything you plan to use, i d install it on an extra computer to play around with first as it s going to be a very painful experience.

Driveimage xml download a copy of it and plan to spend 10 to 12 hours to complete everything. If you are not currently using Vista make sure you have at least 2 gig of RAM. Also read all the requirement specs for the target OS. Your video card will be critical also. The download is several gig so allow a day for that. The backup will have to be done to an external hard drive if you have much on the old one. If the target system is a laptop there will be hardware and driver related issues. Make sure those are resolved before beginning. The windows 7 beta is not a bootable distribution so you will need winrar to open the iso and begin the install. This alone will consume a number of hours.

you can create 2 backups: 1. use a backup software like acronis true image to backup the whole c drive or all harddrives in your pc, and store this in an external harddrive. this way, when windows 7 expires in august, you can easily restore your pc back to its working state. 2. copy and paste folders in an external harddrive to store your important files like outlook (either copy the pst file or export the pst file from outlook) files, ie favorites, my documents folder, google earth files, etc. this is to restore them in the windows 7, if you like to use windows 7 for the moment.

Recommend you to use either Norton Ghost 14.0 or Acronis True Image Home 2009 to back up everything that you had in the computer system.

You can use whatever you like ;} YUS lol

Do i need to have vista to install windows 7 or can i do it from a clean install? -

Hi, I m Cody, and I m working with the Windows Outreach Team to help answer questions users might have about the upcoming Windows 7 Beta release. As far as upgrades go, the Windows 7 Beta only supports Windows Vista SP1 to Windows 7 upgrades. So if you intend to do an upgrade – be sure it is on a PC running Windows Vista with Service Pack 1. The other answerers are, however, right. . .you should be able to perform a clean install of Windows 7 on your system too. We ll know more when the download becomes available later today. If you do attempt to perform a clean install of the operating system, please take extra caution to back up all files and doucments on your current system. Thanks, Cody Windows Outreach Team

You can do a clean install, but why worry? Full version isn t out for a year.

Clean install should work.

For those who have already experienced windows 7, is windows 7 going to have drm on it like vista? -

i love windows xp and i hate really hate windows vista. i hope microsoft didnt repeat vista drm on windows 7

Vista DRM? What do you mean by that? It is an updated version of Vista and is boasts better compatibility.

Will windows 7 screw up system recovery? -

I currently have windows xp on my laptop and I was thinking about giving windows 7 a go just to try a change. Now with my windows xp sp 2. When i turn on my laptop i can hit F11 and it returns my laptop to the day i bought it. (very useful!!) It is a gateway laptop. Now my question is if i install windows 7 will it take this feature away from me? Thanks a lot. Also does anything know if i can use my external drive to install linux and run it off the external drive?

There are two partitions on your hard drive. The small one (usually around 5GB or so) is the recovery partition. As long as you don t delete or format that partition when installing WIndows 7, you ll be fine. You can install any operating system on any storage device (portable hard drive, sd card, usb stick) just as long as your motherboard supports booting from an external device. If it does, install away! It s not a quot;hiddenquot; partition. You can easily delete it if you don t know what you are doing! When you install any OS it shows all partitions on the hard drive. Make sure you choose the only obvious one that has your current OS and all of your data (I m assuming you already backed everything up?)

I don t think it will because when you hit F11 it is accessing a hidden partition. I can t see why it wouldn t just reinstall using the recovery method.

I would just like to know if i could do this: First let me start of by saying: -i have 3 partitions on my gateway laptop (1 is a recovery partition, 1 is for my main OS vista, and the other i made for windows 7) -i want to install Windows 7 on the new partition -Upon doing so, i get an option to load whichever OS i would like to when i put my computer on I do have a key so i can use it till august BUT if i don tt like it, is there any possible way for me to remove or uninstall Windows 7 and have my computer boot up as normal to vista, without having a boot manager load? thanks!!

I got this link from Vista Forums. It should answer all your questions. It will show you step by step on how to switch back to normal vista boot. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/82664-...

Will Halo 2 PC run under Windows 7? -

since Halo 2 won t run on anything lower than vista, will it run on the pre beta version of Windows 7?

It should as it has the same features as vista it has just been renamed and fiddled with a little, so long as you install it as the administrator then the game should work fine :)

Yes it does, but I m sure by then you d buy a Windows 7 PC with a GPU powerful enough the run the 4th version.

Why would you want Halo 2? Buy a xbox 360 and get Halo 3.

How can windows 7 crash a computer? -

I have a perfect test computer, old and not needed, but it said windows 7 can crash your computer, well i want to know how, like total crash new motherboard hardrive and what not, or simple no reboot, and if no reboot, can i partition my hardrive to boot that, and if it crashed can i boot xp off the other partition, i want accurate help please.

Well, I neither know, nor wish to find out. I use Windows XP Pro SP3...and that is the best, most stable, most usable, Microsoft OS.

Unlikely it would wreck your hardware, if it doesn t reboot you can always start over fresh by booting from the CD again.

crash like slow it down to where it burst into flames. look for windows 7 beta and u will see the crashes.

Sound Blaster 5.1 drivers on Windows 7 - HELP!? -

I installed the Windows 7 beta and it automatically installed sound blaster 5.1 drivers through windows update however these drivers only provide stereo and no surround sound. I ve tried my CD Drivers for XP and they failed. I ve tried many different drivers such as the XI-FI ones and vista or even third party ones and they say that no compatible sound card was detected And yes I m not a noob i did check in control panel and there is no option for choosing 5.1 Sound only comes out of rear speakers

Had if you had installed Vista, you would have encountered the same situation like me. Unfortunately, Vista has changed its demands on how the hardware should be and should work. Any sound cards that does not fit will have a basic functionality. If you patiently search in Creative labs support page, it will become evident. So, in crux, if you have quot;Sound blaster 5.1quot; you have to stick with Windows XP only and cannot go further. I too had the same problem and thought that could have gone in Windows 7 (just a try - I am sure it will not be) and discovered my sound blaster to work only in stereo mode. Sad - but what else to do?

When will windows 7 (after vista) beta come out?? -

I mist the beta of windows vista :( but I really dont want to miss this. Anyonne know when it will come out or where I can find more info onits beta realease...possible being notifiede via email when its realesed.... thanks :)

Microsoft is aiming for the year 2010 to release Windows 7 (formerly known as Vienna). I don t expect a beta release until mid-2008. I am currently a Vista Beta Tester and I am sticking with XP for as long as possible due to software and hardware compatibility problems.

Most likely it will be 2009, the final is due in 2010. Of coarse, that is optimistic, there may be unforeseen delays.

as far i know they are going to release it in 2010 search with windows 7 in google

Do you think windows 7 will be a good operating system? -

Is that the one after Vista? If it s Vista, then the answer is NO... if they abandon that piece of crap and return to the original development path of NT...2K...XP, then the next one will be good.

I think Microsoft learned from Vista not to do anything like it again. It will be better.

Cant burn windows 7 on cd only dvd? -

cant burn windows 7 on cd only dvd?

You can t split the ISO for install with Windows 7 Beta, and there isn t a CD install release. Are you sure there isn t an option in the bios to boot from the USB drive?

You cant burn windows 7 beta on 1 single cd because the file is at least 2.5gb. A cd only will hold 700mb of space. To do this you will need a program that can successfully split up the iso image file. Since windows requires to install certian files in a certian order, most likely 3 1/2 cd s wont be able to cut it. Thats why you are supposed to burn it to a dvd. All of the files can be accessed flawlessly.

Windows 7 is around 3.2 GB, but usual CD media can hold only 700 MB. Thats why u cant write it on a single CD. But there r some applications, that will help u to make multi instalation CDs. pls take a look at this, http://forums.cnet.com/5208-19411_102-0....

Hi combatvicjason, My name’s Ron. I’m a member of the Windows Outreach Team. I thought I’d just drop by and lay a few links out there that might be able to help you out. I know others have already established that you can’t burn the ISO file for Windows 7 Beta onto a CD, so we’ll leave that one. You might want to check out the FAQ and installation guide for a better understanding of what you’re going up against when installing the Beta. You can access them here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... Good luck! Cheers, Ron Windows Outreach Team

You are correct, windows 7 cannot be burnt to a cd, cd s have a maximum capacity of 700 mb, whereas windows 7 is a little over 3000mb. Also, burning a .iso requires a program (such as alcohol120%). Good luck

Take a look at these Windows 7 Beta installation instructions. Step #2 gives links to free downloads that will help you burn the ISO file. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... Cheers, Jeff Windows Outreach Team

What do you mean a CD only DVD? Are you trying to burn the 3GB .iso file to a 700MB CD? You need special software that will burn the image of the .iso file to a DVD, not CD.

Maybe because Windows 7 is over 700MB.

Will this system be able to run windows 7 when it is released? -

here is the screenshot of my system specs http://www.flickr.com/photos/27534868@N0... i tested my system here to run pc game far cry here will this system be able to run windows 7 sources:http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/ref...

It will certainly run it. For Windows not to run on those specs would be murder for Microsoft - even moreso than Vista. I believe Vista s minimum requirements were an 800mhz CPU and 512 of memory, which isn t much these days. Microsoft is supposedly optimizing Windows 7 to run better in order to avoid making another mishap. With that said, I m not expecting miracles, but I m 99% confident it will run on your system.

Agreed windows 7 is a very long time away, stick with Vista for about 3-6 months after the upgrade to windows 7 as with vista when it was brought out there will be terrible bugs and all companies who created software to dodge around vista s security to attempt to block them out will once again have to recreate new software to coincide with Windows 7

No system requirements have been released for Windows 7 yet. I have no doubt that you will be able to RUN it, but, depending on when it is finally released, you might not be able to run it WELL.

Microsoft hasn t even finished vista (still full of bugs)... What to expect about this Windows 7? Windows XP even took a lot of time for them to complete the stability.

Ya! Help Plz! - http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

mate windows 7 is ages away yet and we all will need new equipment Nice to see you using firefox

How do you install Windows 7? -

I was given the activation key by Microsoft and am downloading it in my laptop. Well, not exactly my laptop but the external hard drive. Assume I end up having the total download (along with the activation key I already have). Now, ho do I install it? Do I make an ISO DVD? Could I install it from the external hard drive? What exaclty is an ISO and with which burning program you get to make one?

I downloaded the same thing and am using windows 7 right now. Its great i wish i had more ram to take advantage of it though. What I did was used DAEMON tools to mount the ISO (the file you are downloading) and then just ran it that way so I didn t have to burn it. But I think I should burn it now just so i have a copy on the side if i ever need it. what daemon tools does it makes a ghost drive and mounting the image makes the computer think you have that CD in the drive. if you don t have daemon tools you can download it here http://forum.daemon-tools.cc/download.ph...

An ISO is a image of a CD or DVD. So you use a program like Nero or Roxio to burn the image onto a DVD, and then you install it like normal.

What happens if your Windows 7 evaluation period ends? -

Does it uninstall by itself and rollback to Vista or will I be stuck with it and have to buy it?

Hello Doir B- Jeff here with the Windows Outreach Team. Windows 7 will not uninstall on its own come Aug. 1. If you upgraded from Vista to Windows 7, you will need to reinstall Vista over Windows 7. Best, Jeff Windows Outreach Team

Windows 7 run in VMWare? -

I m currently downloading the windows 7 beta, which i m going to install onto a partition on my hard drive, but before that i d quite like to run it in vmware so i can carry on with some work i have in windows vista. any help is appreciated

I think it works fine. Windows 7 has some interface changes from Vista, but in general (and especially under the hood) is almost identical. Besides that, there are VMWare images of Windows 7 available for download - so it can t be too difficult.

I had done this for my workstation and VMware Server 2.0 Sure it will work perfectly and you will forget the pain you have on the Vista. Enjoy it.

yep, i give you 10 points for best answer

Can I tunes 7.5 be downloaded to work with Windows Vista ultimatr 64 bit system? -

Every time I download the I tunes 7.5 soafwere it does not function properly, could this question be answered.

iTunes is currently not supported in Windows XP Professional x64 Edition or any 64-bit edition of Windows Vista. Features may or may not work correctly. One example is reading or writing to an optical drive (CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-RW). It s also possible iTunes for Windows may not successfully install.

How to get windows 7 beta? -

microsoft recently took it off there site and now i cant download it. where else can i find it.

download here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/subscrip... http://www.ginside.com/2009/2606/windows...

Torrents, but that is illegal and they most likely would have viruses in them.

When will Windows 7 be Release? -

I haven t heard anything about the final release of Windows 7 OS. Anyone knows or has a pretty good idea as to when Microsoft would release it please let me know. I am dying for it to come. Please respond soon.

windows seven beta version is released for testing. u can download it from the microsoft website.it gives u a detailed guide for installing. it is 2.44 gb so prepare to download fast as the download runs out in mostly another week. it has most of the features that are decided to be put for the final release. it is a beta version and will run out during august during which u have to reinstall another os. my advice is that u dont use it on ur primary pc as it is still a beta version.

Hey Dell- There is no set date for the final release, but expect the final version within a year or so. Here is an article that outlines the steps Microsoft will use to determine the final release date. http://blogs.msdn.com/e7/default.aspx Cheers, Jeff Windows Outreach Team

Whats the cheapest LEGAL way to get 7 new Windows XP Professional keys? -

We thought ours were legal, but I guess they re not. We need 7 of them. What s the cheapest way to go about this?

2 options... buy 7 legitimate copies of XP Pro... or Call Microsoft... that s the only place you are going to get multiple user licenses from legally.

Purchase a small enterprise license.

call Microsoft and buy them.

hello the LEGAL way and the best way is to buy the Windows XP .from a store it may not be the cheapest .way but you know know your not gettings rip off. illegal sofware products and illegal copies of all microsoft products.from online .dont buy it from online .buy from a store .that way your not end up with fake keys and fake copies

ebay i would guess.

Well, if you thought yours were Legit when you purchased them, you can contact Microsoft and they will give you new, free keys IF you tell them what vendor you bought the pirate keys from.

The ONLY legal way is to buy them from Microsoft. If not, you just have to make do with crime.

Call 1-800-642-7676 Press 2,1,2 at the prompts and just explain your problem to the Microsoft rep, they ll give you new keys.

Can Adobe Photoshop 7 for Windows be tweaked to work on Mac OS X Leopard? -

hi wine is for linux not osx as far as I know. its used to emulate windows programs, so unless you want to install linux t emulate, its not so straightforward. Also it is quite difficult to use unless you know what you re doing. But, did you know you can install xp or vista on your mac and have it run windows programs directly? google bootcamp for more information on what this entails. in the mean time have you tried gimp? it does most of what photoshop does and its free http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/ hope this helps

In a word, Nope.

Hi, if u can install wine for Linux, I think there is one for OS X as well at this page: sourceforge.net/projects/darwine This is a windows compatibility layer and u will have to learn to use it, but I think it has successfully ran Photoshop 7 for Windows. I hope I helped. Good Luck and take care!

Do you think Windows 7 is worth upgrading to? -

I have Vista and tried out Windows 7 beta 7000 build i don t see it is worth upgrading to when it comes out in 2010. Do you? let me know. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows...

If you wait for the year end, the answer will come to you itself.

oh well from my own experience windows 7 beta is far much better than xp and vista both put together so the upgrade is worth. windows 7 is much faster and stable http://datweaker.blogspot.com/ Report Abuse

I mean, what do Win users do except pirate? The hardware trend should be a mass herd migration away from desktop computing -- NetComputers, SmartPhones, NavDevices. Why would anyone need a $1,000 box with peripherals unless they were a programmer? Balmer just doesn t have the leadership that Gates endowed to Microsoft. Win7 is just a add-on to get rid of the mouse.

I up graded it and it slowed my computer down , it also would not let me into certain sights no matter how much I changed my settings I have windows XP I don t know if it does the same to other computers. So I change it back and it works fine. Sincerely yours, Fred M. Hunter

Windows 7 is lots way better than Windows Vista as it is the successor of Windows Vista. It claim to be faster than Windows XP and Windows Vista and improve a lot of security and other issue.

You ve tried the beta so you no what its like, so you make a proper decision....do you think its worth? also the beta is the ULtimate edition

Nope. In fact, aside from DX10, I see no reason to upgrade to Vista from XP. I know Vista is pretty stable now with SP1 and I m not hating on it or anything, but I just haven t seen any features worth $200.

Windows 7 is a good program and I have gotten to use it and find it to be very helpful

You won t need to, but it looks like it will be worth it with better driver support and other improvements.

well i just hope its not a bust like vista. i want my windows xp back :(

It should be good!

as for right now no........later on yeah it looks pretty good

Windows 7 Questions HELP? -

I will be installing Windows 7 soon on a new partition... (dual-boot Windows XP and 7)... When I get it installed and stuff how to I uninstall it? Do I just delete the partition?

Yeah, you can just reformat the partition.

hi micheal, the best way to remove it is hit startgt;settingsgt;control panel hit the add/remove icon scrol down to internet explorer 7 and uninstall it but that is not adviceable what i would do is download save it before i downloaded it this will tranfer it to your upgrades so if you format again it will automaticly install save time and then when you have upgraded your machine you will see it there just download mazilla firefox and this you do not save you just download but set it as your default settings. good luck hope i was helpful to you

Windows 7 Dual Partitions? -

If I Dual Partition Windows 7 with Windows XP, can I transfer programs? (Office and such.)

Yes you can. I would recommend that you have a different partition for your programs. For example, I have Vista on my C: XP on my D: and I install all the software in my E:. But if you want to use a software on both the systems, you usually have to install the software on both the system to update the registry. It means that the program takes the space just once and works on both the systems. Good Luck.

no sorry, you ll have to install those again

yes

Ok so im still tring to download Windows 7 and it stops at this(below) and it freezes..What do i do? -

http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii74/...

call geek squad they can help. :-)

use internet explorer that s how i got windows 7

The server is very busy. You can get the official Windows 7 Beta (released by microsoft) from a third party site http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4637000/... As this is Beta software the use of a torrent is LEGAL before I start getting lectured. LUG.

This is exactly why I m afraid to try Windows 7. Sorry man...good luck

Wait a little while. I was lucky and got early dibs on TechNet but they (Microsoft) failed to anticipate the demand and when they opened it up to anyone their servers were overwhelmed. Wait until tomorrow and try again. BTW - You will most likely have a problem with the product key as well. Just load it without the product key, you will have 30 days to obtain it when things slow down a bit. Good luck and have fun.

So it stops when your trying to save it? I would go ahead and try to download it using a different web browser. I downloaded my copy using google chrome and it worked fine.

Hi there Forget it, all your down loading is trouble, if your thought thing s would not work in vista, this will be worse. Until they get all the bugs out stay with what you have. flakes

How do i install windows 7 to a 16gb partition on my hard drive?? dual boot with xp..? -

i boot from the disk n everything is normal but when it asks where you want to install it says cannot install to this location... the partition is completely empty n formatted but it says that can only install to my existing partition with windows xp which i dont want . please help how to install to the free partition.. thanks

It is hard to find requirements for win 7 but see the link below. It says it requires 16GB disk space. It could be that it is very precise about the disk space and only sees your free space as 15.99 GB? Try to expand the partition and see what happens.

Where can i download the windows 7 taskbar for free for windows vista? -

I don t think you can literally download it, but you can transform it. Look here: http://www.intowindows.com/transform-vis... Good luck! AvEnGeR

You can t, and nothing matches it, the best thing you can do is download a torrent and upgrade to Windows 7, from let s say BTJunkie, just search for quot;Windows 7quot;, and make sure the disc size is 2GB+, and there is a lot of seeds. How to install Windows 7 on Hp m9250f Pavilion? -

Any1 know how to install Windows 7 on Hp m9250f Pavilion? and how bout the driver? is it hard to find all the drivers? thanks for answer.

I would dual-boot windows 7 since it is only a beta and isn t a hundred percent stable. *Almost* anything that works with vista will work with 7. When 7 is commercially released that almost will be gone. I used this guide to run windows 7 on my computer. Just follow the directions and you ll be fine. http://lifehacker.com/5126781/how-to-dua...

Being in BETA I would not do such a thing. BETA contains just a few drivers, and then those are in a beta stage. Hardware manufacturers have not released drivers yet. If you were beta testing for software development or review purposes, you would be used to installing beta operating systems and have a method that works best for you. I say this because BETA operating systems have problems.. Many problems. You need to be efficient at debugging things when the problems occur. I would wait a few months and get the real deal.

Are there any problems with windows 7 that could harm my computer? Not ordinary problems.? -

my dad is very strict about things i put on the computer. And.. what are some advantages of windows 7 over xp?

Window 7 is a beta program. You can have all kinds of issues with it. It really is for testing. Not every thing is going to work on it. You really should know your way around a computer if using beta software.

It s beta, so it mean that you are basicly testing out the operating system. So it is bound to have a few bugs where things may not work right, certain programs. Also if you have windows xp on your computer, you are to not install windows 7 onto it, as none of the computer drivers will be supported. I would read this before you install it. Also it is only a temp install, buy August or there abouts you will have to remove windows 7 or you may have to install windows 7 beta 2.

IE 7 sometimes opens multiple additional windows with ads. How can I stop this? -

All of a sudden my IE 7 will allow the opening of additional windows with ads. As time goes on ore and more additional windows open up. I adjusted the pop up blocker to max, scanned my disk for viruses with an up-to-date Norton IS. How can I stop this?

I think you have spyware/or virus in your computer. Try cnet for a program call threatfire or avg. Only one at time not both. You should unstall one when you install the other one. Both have free version that works

How do I fix this problem with Windows Internet Explorer 7? -

The problem is that when I close one window, all the other windows and Internet Explorer closes as well. It is quite frustrating to go on and off several times while visiting just one site (which may have links that open up in different windows).

un-install and re-install Your Computer/laptop may not meet the system requirments causing problems with it.

Ok just click the right side of the mouse from the bottom, on one item at a time. When box pop up tell it to close.

Un-installing and Re-installing is a good bet. Also, run a virus/spyware scan.

Can I use Windows 7 to cover up Vista, and give me Admionistrator privelages? -

I have lost my password for my administrator account, can I install Windows 7 over Vista and have all of my files, and administrator privelages?

Now i know this method works in XP and i Imagine it works in vista. If you want to get into the system try SAFE MODE. Going into safe mode requires hitting F8 key upon via loading screen. This should bring you into the file system. If your want to acquire files i recommend ( if safe mode allows it) burning a DISC. or Using a Pen Drive...Etc. Then you can create another account through safe mode. Or you can make a live CD of Ubuntu Linux which will allow you to access the file system Via Live CD Linux. But beyond that to answer you question NO because in order to Install windows 7 and keep Vista your will need to partition your hard drive which means No access to other Partitions. And Windows 7 isn t so great im using it and it crashes contently.

If you did create another partition, you could end up deleting files or loosing all of them, including Vista. I would suggest booting up from the Ubuntu CD, and using it to get your files to another USB drive or something.

You can install it on a seperate partition, about 25 gigs in size. :/

Will vista laptop support upcoming windows 7? -

i wanna kno dat if i buy a new laptop (vista ultimate) then will i be able to install upcoming windows 7 meaning will my hardware support windows 7

Well no specs have really been released about Windows 7......so there is really no way to tell...I guess though if your laptop costs 3 grand it should be able to

No one can tell you for sure, it is expected to be released in early 2010, still a long way to go. And I don t think we can expect any details about system requirements till late 2009. If you look back, you’d see that Notebooks released around 1.5 years before Vista came out, were still able install Vista (with few exceptions, like Aero interface). But they weren’t able to give the intended experience nor the performance. I guess same will hold true for current hardware and upcoming Windows 7. You might be able to install it, but whether or not you can effectively use it is a different problem altogether.

OMG, Vista sucks bricks, the worst thing Bill Gates and his team ever came up with.

When will Windows 7 finally release? -

When will it release, will it be any different from vista.

Mid-or-end of 2009, or the start of 2010. They promised it won t be too long. Yes, the difference from Vista is that now they ve recognized their failure in big system resources and decided to lower needed system specifications. Some net books that were originally designed for XP can run it, I ve heard. There will also be tons of new features. The eye candy is not too different.

End of 2009 or beginning of 2010. Windows 7 is believed to be the most fastest OS ever released by microsoft. It is faster than Xp and has better looks than Vista. Oooh! I cant wait.

Mid 2009... there will also be a SP2 for vista right before the release

its beta is release.

i believe sometime 2010

I heard mid to late 2009. I have the beta, but haven t installed it yet.

How do I stop document hyperlinks from opening in the Internet Explorer 7 Window? -

I recently upgraded to IE 7. When I click a hyperlink that points to a documnet (specifically Excel), the document automatically opens in the internet explorer window. I would like it to prompt me for the Open or Save option like IE6, and for the open functions to open it in an excel window, not in the internet explorer window. Please note this is for clicking links on webpages. There is no option to quot;Open Withquot;.

Try right clicking the link and in the menu that opens choose quot;Save Target Asquot;. Then save the file to your hard drive in a folder you know or your desktop. Then go to that file and open it in the program you want. If your file association is already set for the program you want that file extention to open in, then just double left click it.

Could Vista turn out like ME or 2000, a red herring Microsoft OS, when Windows 7 comes out? -

Windows ME (especially) and Windows 2000 were both pushed to the wayside when XP came out. I m concerned that the same thing will happen with Vista, because many of my customers go out and purchase a new computer with Vista on it before I can advise them not to. Does anyone know how different Windows 7 will be from Vista?

So far, Windows 7 is set to look much like Windows Vista. Differences from Vista to Windows 7 will depend on how long development time will take. Microsoft used to release it s operating systems on a two or three year basis. Vista may well be the Windows 95 to Windows 7 as 98, or the Windows 2000 to Windows 7 as XP. That has no real bearing on whether it is a bad operating system, or whether people should switch. Many people did not switch off of 98 immediately (or at all), and some did not switch from 98 to XP right away. There is no reason to tell people not to switch, especially if Microsoft gets back to a normal release cycle. They will always be needing to buy a new OS in three years.

Vista IS the new ME. On the exterior it will try to (vaguely) emulate Compiz (from Linux) , on the inside they will try to include winfs - the new ,much overdue, file sistem.

How different? It well be closer to Vista then it well be XP. This always happens when a new system Operating system comes out. Especially when it is completely new from the ground up. Microsoft needed something to bridge the gap from where they know they are headed, to where XP is now. Also they need developers to have a different plate form to develop on that uses the newer technologies in the OS. Windows 7 well be good because by then most people (and programmers) well be use to Vista. Vista just got a bum rap because it came out a little sooner then it should of! but it is a fine OS.

Windows 7?? -

well i ve heard by reading articles that windows 7 will have the same interface as vista, but a different UI. what is UI????

UI means User Interface. User Interface is simply the layout of the windows, buttons, text, etc which are regularly seen on a PC. If the UI is going to be different it s mean there would be some change in the Start button layout, or there could be a new look to the Run feature, or there could be a new Shutdown window, or new type of window bars, or some new tools altogether to increase the quality of work. User Interface means the Interface or the console with which the User interacts by pressing buttons and clicking. EDIT: Interface means something on which work can be carried out. User Interface is just a modified term meaning that the interface with which the User or the one who s sitting on the computer interacts with the computer. There s not much difference between them, but User Interface is a bit modernized term.

UI stands for User Interface

I think it is Utilities

Need help installing Windows 7? -

Well, I have already downloaded the ISO image from the Microsoft website. It s Build 7000 (Duh what else would it be I mean that s the only build Microsoft posted for official download) I downloaded it on to my Lenovo 3000 J115 Upgraded PC with 250GB HDD but decided that I will just install it on my Gigabyte M912X but found out that the download already finished. SO I connected my computers to my router and set up a network and transfered my files there since my M912X doesn t have a DVD drive and no i m not planning to buy one but I have a usesless DVD Burner with SATA interface which can be useful if I had a SATA to USB cable which I don t have since I don t have any money I m only 13! I have two partitions one for XP one with nothing and installing 7 on it. Back to the question.... I tried installing it the first time it got a install.wim error well that s fine I ll just waste another 30 minutes to transfer install.wim again to sources folder or everything again. Second time I tried it ppassed the install.wim error but it then says corrupted files or installation cannot copy all the necessary files to install Windows and all changes done to your computer will be undone. So I again copied the files into my hard drive but the same problem arised then I copied and pasted the Windows Vista install.wim file and wallah what do you knowit worked..... wait WTF! it didn t it says installatioln cannot continue and the other error 0x7F for unbcl.dll or something like that. Tried it again just right now after copying everything again and the same thing happened cannot copy necessary files to install Windows. It works with the other computer fine welll just tried booting to it and it boots to the DVD on Lenovo PC and goes all the way through installing it without no errors. I don t have a 4GB flash drive just a 2GB flash drive and don t have it right now but if you give me a solution involving using a 2GB or lesser flash drive im fine with that or if I can boot to network ISO or DVD Reader that will be fine too. I also tried installing directly from DVD via network (Share DVD drive) and it eventually failed too. On YouTube(R) I see people installing WIndows on there netbooks in 3 to 10 minutes (I m amazed by how fast it install while retaining more features than Vista and being more faster) installs way faster than XP and Vista together. Vista takes way too long to install and XP nah 20 minutes to an hour to install. I really want Windows 7 please help me here!

You connect computer to laptop or connect the hardisk with cable and copy file or setup the file or just compress that setup and save to flash drive then setup done

How do I install Windows 7 With out getting rid of my Vista? -

Well I am downloading Windows 7 and want to put it on my external hard drive. But don t want to mess anything up. Is there a way to put it on the HDD with out losing any info or trashing the drive? thanks in advanced

Either back-up your drive first or get a program like Acronis to re-partition your drive if you have enough space for two Operating systems but I wouldn t suggest risking that option if you are not very computer saavy.

Here is a guide to Dual Booting Vista and Windows 7 http://windowsaddict.blogspot.com/2009/0... LUG.

you can do it by making an other partition of your HDD and then install it there. or try the software like VMware for running multiple operating systems in same HDD

You can t run Windows on just any external hard drive from what I ve read. I think it may need to be bootable.

Create a second partition on your HD and install it to the second partition. When your PC boots you will be prompted to choose which OS to boot into.

dual boot, head to lifehacker.com for the procedure

I have a harddrive with two partitions each with Vista Ultimate, if I upgrade one of them to windows 7 will th? -

I have a hard drive with two partitions each with Vista Ultimate, if I upgrade one of them to windows 7 will the other one still be able to boot?

You cannot really upgrade to windows 7. It is a beta and for testing only, To use it as your OS is not possible. As from August windows 7 cannot be used any more until Windows 7 will be officially for sail in 2010.

Where is to Download Antivirus Software for Windows 7? -

where is to Download Antivirus Software for Windows 7

Don t use Norton. Use avg. http://free.avg.com/download If you have a virus then heal it then delete it from the vault.

No one has written anything specific for 7 yet, but why worry? Since you ARE running it on a beta machine (it would be the height of foolishness to run a beta OS on your main computer), just reinstall Windows if you get a virus. That s 100% guaranteed to work, which is more than you can say for any anti-virus program.

There isn t a program to support it yet because it is still beta. That is why Microsoft states to those that want to use Windows 7 beta that they can do so at their own risk and that microsoft is not responsible for any damages cause to your computer.

When I use Windows Internet Explorer 7, it wont show pictures or icons? -

It s been like that for about a week now, how can I fix it? It s not set to quot;work offlinequot; or anything, and windows hasn t prompted me for any updates.

Try to reinstall IE7. Go there and follow instructions. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927177 And than install it again. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloa... P.S. IE7 sucks, IE8 even worse it. Use Google Chrome! IMHO

Try ISO Buster

What do all of you think of Windows Vista, Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Media player 11? -

I just want to know what everyone thinks of the new windows and everything like hardware requirements for Aero Glass and just the OS in general.

I dont think any computers today would be able to run more than 2 applications in Vista in full aero mode. 3 apps in quot;you got a crap graphics card so everything is greyquot; mode. I absolutely had the elevated thing, where you have to authorize windows to do every little single thing. Found out later that admin accounts are logged in as normal user accounts.. wheres the logic in that? Had to change it via local policy. IE7 looks great, and im sure it will mean firefox will need to think of something very innovative to keep its market share. WMP looks the same old. Media Center has gone totally gay. It breaks all the usability rules. My $0.02

First thing I did to fix vista when I had it was install firefox. Now it s fine. Report Abuse

IE7s 6 mile long address bar is ridiculous.

They are just new versions and obviously hardware requirement will be more than what was required by the earlier versions.

They would be great if they launched the full version.

I have tried all three and just went back to the present stuff. All of them will take a little getting used to. I have used Firefox for a long time, so IE7 isn t really that different but the beta is not useful for full time use. Vista will definitely take me some adjustment to get used to. The transparent windows, animation etc kind of gave me a headache. I am sure all those settings can be changed. I only glance at WMP 11 and one noticeable thing is the speed of loading the library songs was much faster. Again, it is different. I remember the big shift of mentality between Windows 3.1 to Windows 95, it will kind of be the same thing.

They would be a perfect combination of software when they launched.

Vista sounds nice but could care less about WMP 11 or IE 7. Im sticking with firefox. I even switched my home page from msn to Yahoo recently. I wounder If you will finally be able to record more then 60 seconds of sound with windows built-in sound recorder program. They can be so cheap.

WINDOWS IS THE MOST ******-UP O/S IN THIS UNIVERSE!!!

all these soft wares are working out very nicely and have new option. they are great.espacialy vista, the look of it is itself wind blowing

Should I wait for Windows 7 to buy a new PC? -

I bought by current PC in Spring 2004. I ve upgraded it as much as I can, but I cannot play new games on it. Windows 7 is due to be released in January 2010 and there are rumours that anyone who buys a Vista PC from July 2009 onwards will receive a free upgrade to Win7. Most operating systems have bugs when they first come out, which means that it might be a good idea to wait for SP1 to be released. Based on XP and Vista, I expect SP1 for Win7 to be released around January 2011. What do you think?

I have beta tested Windows 7. It is what Vista should have been. Less bugs, faster, etc. It is basically built on Vista SP1. Yes - I would by a new Computer with Windows 7 right away.

W7 Beta 1 is almost bug free already!. (try the free download via Microsoft web site) Use it every day for a week, only one minor problem (screen resolution changed once on its own, so had to change it back via control panel), very stable, it a winner. I would wait for computers with W7 installed (Due Nov 2009) Its worth waiting for. Quicker than Vista or XP. The free upgrade is free + taxes (£16) and will take a few more months to arrive. Im waiting for W7 too, I had my computer since late 2006 with Vista free upgrade, I like Vista, but W7 has less features but faster. im on the W7 beta1, no problems with the Microsoft o/s, only waiting for sound card driver from creative (they are always the last to provide one, I will never buy any more creative products again.).

How well does new windows 7 beta run and what are the requirements? -

Hi Man, My name’s Ron and I’m on the Windows Outreach Team. I thought I’d stop in and try to answer your question. I’ll throw out the general specs that you’ll need to have in whatever system you’re thinking of installing Windows 7 on, but here’s the link that spells it out for you: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... ? 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor ? 1 GB of system memory ? 16 GB of available disk space ? Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory (in order to enable Aero theme) ? DVD-R/W Drive ? Internet access (to download the Beta and get updates) Hope this helps! Cheers, Ron Windows Outreach Team

i installed windows 7. it requires about 8.5 gb space on hdd, 400mb ram memory. it works well in comparison with vista.

I have the 64 bit beta.I had problems until I updated my bios.It is as stable as XP now. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows...

Need Help When Installing Windows 7? -

I have downloaded the ISO file, and I am ready to burn it to the disk, which is a DVD-R by the way. Anyways whenever I put the DVD in the drive it says quot;drive not ready, please insert blank disk. My question is does it have to be a DVD-RW?

Hi Robert H, My name’s Ron, and I’m a member of the Windows Outreach Team. I thought I’d jump in here and drop off some info that might help you out. First, you should be fine using a DVD-R to burn the ISO. This is what I did. Depending on which ISO burning (here are a couple to try: http://www.isobuster.com/ and http://www.download.com/Active-ISO-Burne... you might need to change your settings to get it to recognize the disc as being readable. Once you get that squared away, you should be good. Also, remember that you need your product key to actually activate the installation. Grab that here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... Hope this helps. Cheers, Ron Windows Outreach Team

Rewritables aren t required for the Windows 7 Beta images. It should burn without issue. My suggestion is to use Imgburn or an alternate imaging tool.

it s depending on the ISO burner program you re using. if you can chose the media type, don t chose DVD but chose quot;auto detectquot;. DVD-R is ok. i ve had the same problem :)

you need the internet while installing windows 7 for updates windows7 beta download has ended and you won t be able to get the install drivers

I only use DVD-R and I am running Windows 7 quite well for the past three weeks

Windows 7 Beta question!? -

I heard that microsoft was giving Windows 7 Beta for free only today.I downloaded 32 amp; 64 bit OS. But my question is: are this versions that they are giving out for updating only?? These are betas and you can t get full version(My caps lock and quotes button are out of order) now. When they will release final version then buy it. Or download from a torrent website. Why Microsoft will release Windows 7 on 32 bit too? -

Over two years now all computers are 64 bit capable but we stuck on 32bit software and OS.What is the benefit of this tech leap if we don t use it? If Microsoft keeps releasing 32 bit OS,then the transition to 64bit bit will take forever. People with older than 4 years old computers (windows 7 will be out on 2009) can stay on Vista 32 or XP

I couldn t agree more. You can go with a 64 bit OS already but the problem is you can partially enjoy 64 bit computing. All the core windows files and programs are running on 64 bit but there is just a handful of true 64 bit 3rd party software. You can still run it on your computer with the WOW64 emulation but there is no different on performance..And the reason that they are no 64bit software is because software engineers don t waste their time and money to develop a program for a platform the minority use. I blame Microsoft for that, first because they failed to educate users about their 64bit OS and the benefits of that and second as you said they keep releasing 32bit OS when the majority has 64bit capable computers.

May be you should buy everyone a 64-bit PC, not every one can afford it, besides, Microsoft sees a larger market in 32-bit processors, until 32-bit processors are obsolete, Microsoft will start just selling 64-bit builds. Windows 7 s build number is 6933, and will be released for beta when it is 7000 (soon). During December 2008, you ll be able to download give-out trials for absolutely free. You can download Windows 7 6801 on BTJunkie via P2P torrent.

Will I loose my programs after i install windows 7 beta? -

I am about to download windows 7 and i was wondering if I will loose all my programs if i do install it.

Depends on whether your doing a clean installation or upgrade. If your using Windows XP or older, your going to have to do a clean install, which wipes the drives. If your using Windows Vista with SP1, you ll perform an upgrade install, which allows you to keep your programs.

Yes if you upgrade your Os of vista and don t since this is a beta version.Make a another Partition at least 25gb. First learn how to partition so you mess up your computer :D Use the bottom link to make a separate partition to install it to separate the two OS wish I can show you a screenshot using my other computer.

Yes you will lose your programs. Inorder to install it you ll have to format your drive. Unless you partition it first or swap out your hard drive for another one (or have multiple and pick an empty one) you will lose all your files and programs on that drive.

No not all data. For eg if you have 3 drives, the setup will ask you to specify the location where you want to install it. For installation , you have to format only 1 drive , not all the drives.

You will not lose anything. You need to have an empty partition to install it on. It should be good. If you dont know how, you can go on craigslist and pay someone around 20bucks and they will do everything for you.

If you don t know that you should not be using a beta OS. Anyway yes, yes you will if you install over your current os.

NEW OS windows 7 BETA 1 question!!? -

im currently using windows vista 64 bit OS and i was wondering whether or not I could use the new 7000 build that piratebay has. It says its 32 bit which makes me think that i cannot use it. Will windows 7 beta 1 work with current games such as steam/cod4,5/crysis. And will there be a 64 bit version on january 13? or will it be the same as the piratebay version. thanks!

MS - quot;If it run s Vista it ll run Windows 7quot; 32-bit will work on anything 64-bit does, but 64-bit will only work on 64-bit hardware/software. so your fine. As for working with games, it should do, It kinda ties in the quot;if it runs vista it runs win7quot; comment i suppose. Read up on exactly how to dual-boot Win7 with Vista, and back up important stuff in case you balls it up. I m gonna give Win7 a shot soon(already got it on disc) just got a bit more on my plate. Dunno the legality of it all, it s set to lock down after June 31st, and MS are gonna be handing it out for free, Piratebay are offering it up earlier than MS planned( and it s still speculation if MS stuck it up their in the first place for good press)

it probably would be fine if u can run those run those games and but it might either erase ur vista or u could just uninstall it i dont know about that part any ways and if it off of pirate bay i would scan it when it gets to ur desk top so u can see if it comes with a virus or read the comments bye !!!!

If it worked with vista it would but i think you are not allowed to post this kind of questions here though btw there s already a 64-bit version of windows 7 let s say that some old friend has it if you know what i mean?

What do testing users of the Windows 7 BETA operating system think are advantages and disadvantages? -

I have downloaded and will probably try the new Microsoft Windows 7 BETA operating system. First I would like to know what current users think. Are there known issues?

For me, being a beta tester of Vista and 7, Windows 7 starts up significantly faster than what XP and Vista did on my laptop. Note that Windows 7 is far from perfect though. I still had to install my video drivers and sound drivers. As noted by other beta testers, it had an issue with MP3 music files and another issue with UAC and Gadgets. Also, there is an issue with GameGuard (it fails to load with or without UAC enabled) and online games. I tried to upgrade it from Windows XP but couldn t. I did a fresh install instead. There is also a slight issue with the rendering of the Desktop with iTunes. I will find more if I have the time.

I haven t found any issue with Adobe CS3 Master Collection and a few more small programs -Free Download Manager, CCleaner, Mozilla FireFox, PowerISO, VLC, Trillian, uTorrent, etc. Also, Office 2007 installs fast as well -about 20 min. whereas it took over an hour on XP and about 45 min. on Vista. Try it yourself, I made a new partition and installed windows 7 on it, try that, because all your other os files should be on a different one.

I tired it out and liked it the only problem I had was the resolution on my monitor other than that im excited for when they go to actually release the version and hopefully alotve flaws get fixed.

Windows 7 is very fast, faster than Mac Leopard and Vista. Its also very stable and is much more organized than vista and xp.

Yahoo messenger for windows 7? -

why i can t running yahoo messenger 9 in my windows 7? please help me, thanks

try running yahoo messenger for vista on windows 7. It may work.

I think it wont run because Windows 7 Is Still In Beta and Yahoo Messenger wont support it until Windows 7 is released publicly. Just download an older version or use a multi-support messenger.

Do you mean Internet Explorer 7? That s your browser, not your Windows Version Do this, go to: http://oldversion.com/ and download Version 8. Version 9 is not working well for most people.

I want to buy a new computer. but now that windows 7 is coming up i am undecided. what if I buy it now and ? -

windows 7 is released and i regreat having bought a computer with vista. should i wait or buy now

Microsoft has said that the rumors of windows 7 being release in oct 2009 is false, windows 7 is in the planning stages and development they don t see finishing it until 010 or 2011. so if you want to wait that long then its up to you and even when they finish windows 7 in 20010/2011 that doesn t mean they will release it they want to get as much out of vista as possible.

Windows 7 is not being released until late next year at the earliest. Hopefully anyone who has Windows Vista (me included) should be offered a free upgrade to the new system. Even if we are not, Vista will continue being available just the same as Windows XP is still available.

Unless Windows 7 can make sandwiches and beer, I will stay with XP Pro SP3. Anyway, you won t have to make that decision until around 2011 or so...and the Mayans said the world will end in 2012, so save your money and have a party. LOL

Comes out late this month or the next, just wait xD. http://windowseven.co.cc/index.php/2008/...

erm well id see how long till windows 7 is out then make your own judgement but if its not urgent id wait

Should I get Windows Vista Ultimate or should I wait for Windows 7 to arrive? -

best is to wait for windows 7, as i am using a beta release, and i must say it is a thousand times better and faster than win vista..

If your hardware can handle it, get Vista Ultimate. Windows 7 is based upon Vista, so you ll have a chance to get used to the interface. Also, Windows 7 is supposed to ship in 2010, but there s no guarantee that the date won t slip. I remember them talking about Longhorn (Vista s code name) back in 2000, and it took them 7 years to release it.

I think you should get Vista Ultimate, if you need a computer right now. Waiting for Windows 7 to be release before you get a new computer might be too long. If you can waiting that long, go for it.

windows 7 is out in 2010 and that is a long time from now windows vista ultimate is here today so make your choice wait until 2010 or today it is so obvious today is the answer don t you think?

W7 is supposed to be releaed in winter 2009 My suggestion is if you do not play games or use it for work, then try out Ubuntu Linux. Its free, see the link below

Better go for Vista it takes a long long long long time for microsoft to release windows 7

well windows 7 will be comming out in a long time, vista has only just came out so i dont think microsoft are going to rush a new release
