Is the HP psc 2400 Series compatible with Windows 7 beta? -

on vista i had trouble installing from disk. so i gave up but it did it by itself without the cd i think. so i was wondering if this printer will work with windows 7 beta thanks

Vista has the basic drivers for the PSC 2400 series. The printer is several years old and was released before Vista came out. Your CD doesn t have the Vista drivers, so your PC looked into its own driver database. As for Windows 7 support... it is likely to be compatible as long as it s got drivers. Most likely, the Windows 7 installer simply contains the basic driver for this series of printer. A full featured driver will be available after Windows 7 goes gold or is official.
