Getting Blue Screen on Windows 7 Because of Symantec? How do I fix? -

Im getting Blue Screen of Deaths randomly when using Windows 7 because of a file named: symevent.sys I find out that the file is a Symentec file (A Virus Protection Company) Please dont type (Windows 7 is in the Beta Stages) Please dont, I m sick of hearing that, lol. So please, Do any of you know why this is happening And how can I fix it?

I have some questions for you. Is this a new computer. If so, do you know whether it was loaded with Norton/Symantec Anti Virus or did you, yourself download or install via a CD the Symantec Anti virus software. I wouldn t be so quick to say you have been infected with a trojan or a virus if I knew you had downloaded the Symantec software. Have you done any research on possible incompatibilities between Windows 7 and Symantec. I suggest that a) you type incompatibilities between symantec and Windows 7 into the Google search bar or 2) Go to the Windows 7 Home page and read what incompatibilities exist with that operating system and other software and if they are being addressed. I would think that since you are using the beta version, you should have a lot of support from Microsoft. 3) If the Symantec is genuine and not a phony, give their tech team a call and see if they can solve your dilemma. Good luck.

Hi Zilly B- It is likely an incompatibility issue with Windows 7 Beta and Symentec. Microsoft has worked with three security software companies to provide anti-virus solutions for the Windows 7 Beta. Here is where you can read up on and get free trial versions of the recommended anti-virus software to use while you try out the Beta. Thanks for being a Beta tester. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/antivir... Jeff Windows Outreach Team

Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new software, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info

Its mostly a real trojan or virus. They tricked you to downloading or installing the software. The only way is to reboot your computer or use a REAL virus scanner and find it, and delete it. Theres no other ways.

hi try this tool Registry Easy? helps you scan your PC. Safely clean the errors amp; invalid entries which cause system slowdown, freezing and crashing! Repair registry problems! Improve your PC performance! http://www.keep-pc-clean.com/
