Windows 7 beta.... no sound? -

i downloaded windows 7 beta today onto my dell e520 but now the sound wont work. speakers are on full and so is the audio adjuster in the taskbar. if someone knows how to sort this out that would be great, thanks i asked the same quwstion a while ago and i was told to download sound drivers but that didn t work, does anyone have any other ideas? thanks http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind... http://support.euro.dell.com/support/dow...

Windows 7 Beta is just what it says.... Beta software. There is no guarantee that things will work, that s why it is still in Beta stage. If you need to ask about software drivers and the like then maybe Beta software is not for you HTH

What quot;Air Squot; said is true. Windows 7 may not be sound compatible at the moment as its at only its early stages of creation. In addition to what you said about downloading sound drivers, you may have done everything right but just got the drivers wrong. Make sure you have installed the correct divers. You can find what drivers you need here: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOUND-C... Hope this helps. ====== EXTRA+ ====== If everything else fails, just try reinstalling it. Hope THIS helps too!

Most likely Dell sound drivers that support Windows 7 is not available yet. Try installing with windows generic sound drivers.

it is a beta and there probably aren t any drivers for your sound for windows 7. not everything will work, reinstall it

well, try updating with windows update because that was what caused me to not get sound on my laptop (with windows 7) goodluck! you
