How long should it take to open itunes 7 under Windows XP? -

It normally takes me about 10 seconds from the time that I click the Icon until it opens - particularly if I haven t used the program for a while. I was just wondering if this was normal.

Yes! this is normal time, 8-10 seconds takes on my system. and 5 second for loading a new file. it makes a playlist of all files that u r playing. Then it reads for its Artwork, genre, equelizer settings etc ... that takes the time. but it is Best Player for organizing and playing music!

It depends upon your processor speed. It doesn t take that long. May be it is tryiong to connect to the net !!!!

I can only say that it sounds similiar to the speed at which mine loads too.
