They should, but they wouldn t profit from the new operating system if they do, the most they could do is give a discount to vista users so that everybody benefits
I am running Windows 7 Beta right now. I have never used Vista before nor have I ever seen it. I understand from using the beta Win7 that it is very much like Vista but has been supposedly streamlined to be more efficient so as to load faster and not be a resource hog. Now I have been using Win-XP Media center edition on my Dell XPS M170 Laptop for the past 3 yrs. Well that is the laptop I have installed Windows 7 Beta on, and it runs as good (fast) as XP if not better (faster). So far I have been using it for 1 wk and there is some software that came with my laptop (proprietary) that I had some trouble with at first, but I am now running all software on Windows 7 as I was on XP. To answer your question about wheather MS will offer a free upgrade to Windows 7 for Vista users, as Al would say, quot;I don t think so Timquot;. When have you ever known MS to let u upgrade for free? How would they make any money? Oh, your connection problem could be a firewall problem, or check to see if you can roll back the drivers for the wireless card, that may solve your problem. PS: The Beta will if you download it and install will allow you to upgrade, BUT, you will not be able to go back to Vista, and after August 2009 the beta will no longer work. You will have to reinstall your Vista copy.(of course this will probably solve your network problem). lol PS:PS: You posted this question Twice.......
