If i have 32-bit windows vista now can i still install windows 7 64- bit with no problems? -

I have agateway fx7020 with a 64-bit processor but i am currently running windows vista 32-bit. Is it possible for me to install and run the 64-bit beta?

As long as your computer can handle a 64-bit OS you should be able to install Win 7B. It doesn t matter what OS you have currently as Win 7B will be a fresh install (even if your setting up a dual boot machine).

yeah, as long as you haven t disabled 64-bit support in your bios. Just be sure to check that and boot it up.

Should be able to. I run Linux 64-bit, with a 64-bit OS. You could try Linux as a LiveCD before making changes. 64-bit sees all the memory more efficiently and seems to run the web and SATA drives faster. You will find out though that you need 64-bit software or a 32-bit eumulator. For instance, I have to have 64-bit Flash, 64-bit java plug-in, 64-bit Firefox and some others.
