need step by step ionstructions installing windows 7 on ubuntu from disk my friend has ubuntu and he is trying to install windows 7 on ubuntu and when he starts his computer with disk in the computer and there is jsut a line when he presses enter it does nothing he needs to install it from the desktop i think anyways if u ca give step by step instiuctions that would be great how do you install it on virtual box also? and yes he wants rid of ubuntu

He needs to have the disk in the drive when he boots up. if that doesn t work prehaps the disk is broken. You can t install from the desktop. And he wants to install windows 7 onto his computer, not ubuntu

If he has a line on the screen, chances are his graphics processor is not supported by Windows 7. If his graphics card/processor isn t supported, be aware a virtual machine will not work either.
