Should I wait for Windows 7? -

I have been saving up for a new Windows laptop/desktop, but I don t know whether to get Vista, or wait it out until 7 comes out. Any advice will help, thanks!

IMO, it ll be at least a year before 7 is out of beta. I also question the speed of it s release. When has microsoft ever released a new OS this fast after any other. Personally I think 7 is more of a Vista SP2 than a new concept OS with a new name to distance itself from the negative rap vista got. I use vista sp1, love it, and it s all around better than xp.

bttr get vista now.....if u ve bugssssssszzz

All I know is Windows 7 is a fixed version of Vista that I can think of. Anyway my desktop was built in 2007 which I put together and it run Vista Business X64 fine, and my BenQ Joybook S32W was built in 2008 Apr and it ran Vista Business X86 just fine. I just don t get it why people are avoiding Vista for no reason. Just make sure you update to Service Pack 1 and things will be all good.

If your current operating system still works nicely for you, I suggest waiting for Windows 7. You ll save a ton of cash because you ll have to upgrade to Windows 7 anyways. Windows 7 will replace Vista anyway. You might have to wait a year though for Windows 7 to be in retail.

How long can you wait? Admittedly Vista is a real hog when it comes to resources -- which can be a problem, especially with a laptop... And yes, Windows 7 is shaping-up to become quot;the OS Vista was supposed to bequot; (e.g. doesn t take so much resources)... But on the other hand, a new Windows-version -- even if it s quot;justquot; a matter of quot;improvingquot; Vista -- is always riddled with security-holes and bugs; and it takes about a year before it become reasonably stable (the worst of it has been plugged), so you feel safe running it. I certainly would wait until at least 6 months after Windows 7 was released, before I would by a computer with it... and you may need something before then.

u better use someother one

I have used the BETA version of windows 7 and can say its not all that different from Vista. A few nice touches such as how the windows can be set out but on the whole it looks and feels just like vista. I understand that there will be an option for a free upgrade to Windows 7 for all vista users at some point so it might be worth going with vista for now. The problem with buying a computer is there is always something better coming out in 3 months, but eventually you just have to take the plunge!

Vista s code name was longhorn and was scheduled to be released in 2003 but u know when was it released Go for vista use it Windows 7 needs 2 years more to roll out you will be 16 then u will decide better weather to stick to vista or go for Win 7

all vista windows come with windows 7all ready insalled with updates coming at any time

get married and have 3 kids while you are waiting, then get windows 7.

If you re interested in Windows 7 at all, then maybe you should wait until after July 1, 2009 to qualify for an upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista Home Premium, Business or Ultimate. Either of those 3 operating systems will qualify for an upgrade if you purchase a computer that comes with one.

If u have a solid pc with brande new hardware and resources with a lot of knowledge of computers , u can work with Vista. Vista is pathetic to use for begineers. Its frustration since u need to think over a lot to have a particular task done. I use the Vista Ultimate . I still miss my old Windows Xp . It had a very good interface . It was understandable for all . However If u planning to choose Windows vista and 7 ,I would probably ask u to get the xp professional for now and try out the windows 7 when it gets released in late 2009 or 2010. At all cost avoid vista. Its will work slower than XP even if u get the best hardware

You can use Vista Home Premium or Ultimate first, then you use 7. If you want to skip from XP to 7 also can because XP is still a good OS and be used worldwide.
