Using Windows 7 Beta? -

I just downloaded the Windows 7 Beta and I am very impressed with it so far. There are very few bugs compared to when Vista first launched. my question is, when Windows 7 comes out of Beta stage will I then have to purchase it to continue using it as I am now using the free Beta?

The current Beta of Windows 7 ceases to function in August of this year. To continue to use Win 7 you d have to buy it from a retailer. Instead of that have you considered one of the many excellent and free Linux systems (distros) instead. See link.

Yes you will have to purchase. The Beta expires in August. After that you will have to put another OS on your PC because Win7 will not work anymore. When Win7 final is out you will have to format and install it again as far as I know.

You probably won t have to pay for the Beta to keep using it, but if you want the final release you will have to pay for that.

you ll probably be able to keep it but wont get any of the updates so wont get the final version
