Installing Windows 7 questions? -

I know that installing Windows 7 requires 16GB of free space. Is this just for the OS, and I need seperate room for my files? Also, once I ve partitioned, can I un-partition or change the size of the partition to gradually create more room for my files as I move them from XP?
