No, Windows 7 is set to release late this year or early next year. There are rumors that it may be released by Christmas.
No.. Windows 7 has not even been released yet. It is still in beta.
Why does everyone think there s something wrong with Vista. Lets be clear its the users understanding of the OS. WIndows 7 does not have an official release date. Although it is projected to be released sometime next summer June maybe.
I am using W7 beta and it is as good as VISTA but I see no significant improvement. I am in no hurry to switch. Why change when you have a good OS that does everything you want flawlessly? Now XP, that is another story.
No you won t be able to because Windows 7 is still being tested and has not been officially released but you could install the beta edition on your new computer if you so choose.
Hi iqbal, My name’s Ron and I’m a member of the Windows Outreach Team. The simple answer is that we’re not sure yet. Microsoft hasn’t released any further time line plans beyond that of the Beta program (which ends on Aug. 1, 2009). While nothing has been announced yet, this blog from a Microsoft engineer offers a great look at how they move things like OSs along their process, so it might give you a good idea of how the product cycle goes: http://blogs.msdn.com/e7/archive/2009/01... You can always check out the Windows 7 homepage for the most up-to-date info as well: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... Hope this helps. Cheers, Ron Windows Outreach Team
