I ve been trying to download the new Windows 7 BETA from the official website with little success. Every time I try and download it the way they want in IE, the download never starts and all I get is error . So, I resorted to downloading from a torrent, it fully downloaded but when I went to install it, I had an error (something to do with setup.exe), I read up online and tried a few trouble shooters that appeard to have the same problem, however, none worked. After that, I assumed my download via torrent must have been buggy, I retreated back to the Microsoft website but I still had the same error message when trying to download via their download manager. I finally found a direct link from the Microsoft website to download in any browser, but the download simply stops working after any amount of time (thirty seconds to an hour). My question is this: Is there anyway I can get the damn thing without being cut off in the middle of the download? And if not, does anyone know anywhere else I can download it torrent or direct link? I ve tried the legal way, but it just won t let me. Thanks for any help you can give :)
Make sure have Silverlight installed while downloading from IE. Otherwise, download one of these: 32bit: http://www.mininova.org/tor/2144091 64bit: http://www.mininova.org/tor/2158341 Note: 64bit will give you better performance than 32bit. Check to make sure your processor supports 64bit before downloading. All new processors (Intel Core 2, AMD 64, etc) should support it.
Many people have had your problem. The 64 bit works great, but 32 is harder because more people are trying to get it. You just have to keep trying.
