Where can i get windows 7 from our just take a look at it and see what it does? -
Is Windows 7 going to be compatible with EVERYTHING Vista is? -
The beta looks more promising than Vista s did. It s not ready for general use yet, but that is to be expected from any beta software. Most programs will already run on it, and all the major anti-virus programs should be working by or soon after release, but keep in mind that security is usually very weak until SP1 at least. The biggest issue would be drivers. The drivers for Vista were terrible when it was first release, and are just now starting to mature. It probably won t take as long for Windows 7 drivers, but I d suggest waiting for reviews to come out after its release to make sure.
Windows 7 will not be compatible with everything that runs on Vista, but the switch will be much easier than XP to Vista was.

What tach specs would you need in your pc to run windows 7? -
Nope, because windows 7 hasent released any tech specs, nobody knows if it will run.
R u trying to boast your high end PC?
What happens when windows 7 expires in August? -
HEy DON T worry, take your time, relax. Tech advances every day, there should be a hack at the time. Just look for it two or three weeks before it expires!! RELAX xxx
Hello tootal2- My name is Jeff and I work with the Windows Outreach Team. To answer your first question, I will quote the Microsoft Windows 7 Beta Installation Instruction page: “The Windows 7 Beta will stop working on August 1, 2009. To continue using your PC, please be prepared to reinstall a prior version of Windows or a subsequent release of Windows 7 before the expiration date. We recommend doing a custom (clean) installation.” As to your second question, you will have to reinstall any programs you installed on your Windows 7 Beta OS to whichever OS you revert back to after the Beta expires. If you have any more questions, take a look at the Windows 7 Beta FAQ page and the Windows 7 Beta Installation Instruction pages. Here are links to those pages. Thanks for your interest in Windows 7! http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... Jeff Windows Outreach Team
Restoring XP from Windows 7? -
Since Windows 7 hasn t officially been released yet, I assume you either have a beta version or you really mean Vista Ultimate. If you have Windows 7, then you are out of luck. If you have Vista, please read this article. http://www.computerworld.com/action/arti... Good luck
When is Microsoft releasing Windows 7? -
From what i read in pc world magazine the end of 2010 but i think it will come out like end of 2009 because of all the trouble with Vista
Wrong, release will be June 30th 2009 if not delayed. Beta will be earlier. The build number is already 6933, 7000 will be out very soon, which means you can get the Beta, that s just as stable as Vista. If you can t wait, evaluate it via BTJunkie, etc. Report Abuse

How to Dual boot windows 7? -
Use windows built in partition manager, or download one http://gparted.sourceforge.net/, delete your Ubuntu partition, create a new partition, restart and install windows 7 on your new partition.
Windows vista to windows 7 beta please help ? -
I am afraid it is almost certain you have lost Vista. If you don t have a Vista Installation Disc then it is gone forever, unless you are prepared to fork out for a copy of Vista. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way, sorry. LUG.
i think you did i m sorry for your your loss. RIP WINDOWS VISTA BOUGHT-HATED-CRITICIZED WE WILL SOON FORGET thats way I didnt download it yet because idk if i can go baCk!!!
Well if your chose to install it on the same partition as Vista, you are screwed. If you chose to dual-boot(install two operating systems on one computer) then you will be fine. Even if you did make a restore point, it wouldn t matter because when you format, it will remove everything anyways. Besides, why would you want to go back to Vista? Don t you enjoy the new features amp; updates that Windows 7 brings to you?
Install your Vista disc.. boot from bios select your language insert your vista key delete old partition with windows 7 beta select the deleted partition Re-install Vista ^gt;^
you werent suppose to install it on your primary pc, its BETA. i guess you are going to have to reformat.
How do I create a pdf from a Word 2007 file using Adobe Acrobat 7 Professional running Windows Vista? -
Since you already have vista, Im sorry to say vista has compatibilty issues with some software and some applications. Since vista released early, the manufacturers didnt and some still dont have drivers for certain software. Just wanted to make you aware of that. Anywho...in MS Word 2007, upper left hand corner there will be a FILE tab and click on that. Click on Save as...and under the bar where you name your file, there will be a bar that allows you to select what format to save your file. Hopefully MS Word 2007 supports pdf. format. If not, Microsoft failed to supply their customers with a great operating system.
When will Windows 7 Beta be back online for DL? -
Check the blog on the official site. All info is there. You can dl the ISO file, but the key will not be available till later today.
Need help on changing partition for Windows 7- Mac user? -
Use the Disk Utility application to reformat the partition. It s in the Applications gt; Utilities folder.
If you have Mac why would you want Windows anyway. Obviously you don t like Windows.
How to go back to Vista, after Windows 7 installation? -
you have to go buy a vista disk or see if the company that made your pc can give you a disk......... thats why you never install a beta as your main os especially if you don t have the disks to re install your previous os
You will have to boot from the Vista disc and delete the partition in which Windows 7 was installed. Then create a new partition and format the drive then install windows Vista in that. Thanks and regards Rahul
Should I install Windows 7 on my laptop? -
http://inthisall.chills.it A very informative website you can also get much information in websitece, global drop shipping, accept PayPal, very good customer feedback.
Windows 7 is only a Beta version right now, actual version is still a few years away....I would say try xp first and hope you can find the drivers... pretty sure you wont be able tp find windows 7 drivers....
Windows 7 Supports Vista Drivers so if there are drivers for vista there are drivers for windows 7, Windows 7 Runs well on older systems so i have been told but remember windows 7 is beta release and will stop working in august.
Damn ur lappy passes the WIN 7 Beta test. And the beta version is also faster bt may not have all drivers. so although the specs are good and ur lappy will definitely run faster than it does with current vista (am not comparing it with XP if u happen to have one), one thing u ought to remember that it/or u may not be able to load/find all drivers (audio, video or fingerprint or camera (if ur lappy does have one). But you won t know until u give iot a try, as Microsoft has not released all drivers for it yet and still collecting info from users/ beta testers. So go ahead and give it a shot. But be forewarned, backup all that u love(ur data ) on the present hard disk, as there r high chances or risks that u will eventually lose ur present data in process of researching the new OS. **Thsi is the Beat release of Win7, need to wait till may be oct 09 for he final release!
Hi mo, My name’s Ron and I’m a member of the Windows Outreach Team. First, here are the minimum specs for the Windows 7 Beta: ?1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor ?1 GB of system memory ?16 GB of available disk space ?Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory (in order to enable Aero theme) ?DVD-R/W Drive ?Internet access (to download the Beta and get updates) Also, unless you’ve already downloaded the ISO, you might be out of luck. However, if you’ve already downloaded, you can grab your product key here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... Also, keep in mind that Microsoft recommends installing the Beta on a secondary PC, not your primary box. Hope this helps! Cheers, Ron Windows Outreach Team
I installed Windows 7, deleted it... And now I have boot errors? -
Oh yeah, that s probably because the Master Boot Record is in the XP partition. The way to fix this is to put your XP Home CD in the disk drive, boot from CD, enter the recovery console type in fixmbr , which deletes your old Master Boot Record and replaces it with a clean one that only has XP Home on it.
In msconfig the first module is General there have options to repair Original or modify the boot, also in a DOS command:Run type cmd and press enter you run the command named fixboot and press enter, this command can be also used the CD of xp and boot time and select repair the 3 commands to use are fixboot, fixmbr and chkdsk/p after this pull the cd out and type exit and enter.
You were suppose to back up everything (and XP) on a disc BEFORE you downloaded Windows 7. Im not sure why or how to get it back. Either go to a Microsoft FAQ or call Microsoft.
format all the hard drive (both partitions) and reinstall xp home again
What programs work with windows 7 beta? -
No all programs do not work. It s hit and miss right now, I would say more won t work than ones that will.
Like you, Jason, I m still testing, but did you find it odd that you had to turn off the Windows Firewall in order to download the Windows updates?
Anything that worked with Vista supposedly(I;m still testing).
Can u tell me were i can download quot;18 wheels of steelquot;(fulll version free)that i can run on windows 7?thankz? -
Ha! Most likely http://btjunkie.org/ or http://thepiratebay.org/ If you are unsure what a torrent file is and how to use it, then check the help sections on those sites. There is a step by step with links and examples. BTW If possible read the user comments about a torrent to make sure it is not a fake.

If I download the beta of Windows 7, how long does it last and what will happen when with my Vista? -
DO NOT overwrite Vista as you will not be able to roll back. Windows 7 is awesome and I have been using it since Build 6801 thru 6956 and now 7000 Beta 1 which I am working with at the moment. I know its tempting but I suggest installing it on a spare Hard Drive if you have one lying around. As long as the Drive is no less than 40gb then you will be able to enjoy Windows like it has never been before. Also bear in mind Windows 7 Beta 1 comes with an initial 30day trial period, however you can rearm to extend the trial period http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/11/06... LUG.
It lasts until August 1st. After that, you d need to go back to your old operating system. If you don t do the quot;upgradequot; (ie do a dual-boot), your Vista should remain intact. If you do upgrade, you ll have to reinstall Vista from scratch after the trial is over.
It last until August I believe. Also as long as you install Windows 7 a separate partition, nothing will happen to your installation of Vista. But before doing so, always make sure to back-up your information!
It will last until August 1, 2009 if you have product key. If not 30 days. Back up Vista, you won t get it back. After August, you ll need to reinstall Vista.
i just installed windows 7 but i made it dual boot so i can still use vista lasts till aug 1 2009
I cant get the apple drivers to install on Windows 7 Beta Build 7000? -
Windows 7 Thinks Its On Drive C? -
It depends how you dedicated the space. If you created the Z partition using Vista, then ONLY vista knows that drive letter. If you installed Windows 7 by booting from its own DVD, Windows 7 has its own partition manager built into it. It would then display all of the partitions that you have created using vista. HOWEVER, it will have different drive letters because the drive letters are ONLY seen by the operating system on which they were created. So, if you created a partition and changed its drive letter to Z, then it is seen as a SECONDARY partition in vista. Vista boots from its primary partition, which automatically labels itself, drive C because that is where it boots from. You cannot change the drive letter of a booted operating system. Like I stated above, the letters are DEPENDENT on the operating system that they were created from. Vista sees it as Z, because IT labeled it as Z. Windows 7 sees it as C for 2 reasons: 1.) It is the primary boot partition for WINDOWS 7 2.) the vista partition is labeled as another letter because it is not the primary boot partition for Windows 7 So really, you can t Change them at all. The only thing you can change is the drive letter of the OPPOSITE operating system. (windows 7 changing vista drive letter, vice versa) All in All, no matter what you do, each operating system CANNOT see the drive letters of the other one - they re not OS independent. Good Luck. Hope this helps. Email me for more assistance.
windows always saves its stuff to c so u will only see your windows 7 drive in windows 7 as c. to see your vista partition in windows 7, click start, right click computer, click manage, click storage, click disk management ( its disk management local if your windows 7 is one a different partition as the drive with vista), right click on the partition that has vista on it. click change drive letter and paths, click add. as soon as you give your vista drive a letter, in windows 7, you will be able to see all your vista stuff in windows 7

Windows 7 Black Screen? -
Are you saying you see no task bar? The Windows 7 in the bottom right is actually a permanent feature. If I drop this page now, I see a bluish screen with a picture of some sort of mammal in the middle and my icons as normal down the left side. Not really sure what you mean by installing it to just to your desktop. I installed my Windows 7 onto a spare partition and it is working fine
Sounds like your pc is not ready for Windows 7. Not sure what happened. Maybe reboot, go into Safe Mode and see what you can find out.
Do you have a second monitor plugged into the computer? Is this a laptop or a desktop? If you have a second monitor, remove it and reboot. What is your graphics card?

New computer, Windows 7 doesnt boot? -
There is not really a way to uninstall Windows 7. The procedure to remove Windows 7 depends on the computer system at hand. Was Windows 7 installed as another operating system in a multi-boot environment or as the only operating system? Is there data on the Windows 7 partition that needs to be backed up because it is still needed? The easiest solution to uninstall Windows 7 would be to simply erase the data on the partition and join that partition again with another one or directly install a new operating system on it. Here is a quick guide what you should consider when uninstalling Windows 7.
Who wants to see windows 7 come out? -
I have tried it and it seems great :), I am using it, i believe its better then windows vista, before SP1, and its still in its beta !
I just downloaded 64 bit, I think it ll be a big step up from vista but i m not sure about resource use efficiency.
I wish that everyone had the in depth experience as a developer as I do and experience with other operating system. You would then realize that Microsoft, with its horrible software design inconsistencies, will never produce a good, stable, memory efficient OS. Just look at Vista internals: They are still using C, D, E drive etc. a holdover from CP/M the OS that DOS was built on that dates back to the late 70 s! When your file system gets corrupted what is used to correct it? Yeah the old DOS standby that DOS used to fix their missing quot;clustersquot; XP, Vista and even the new 7 are just more bloat on top of a crappy architecture to begin with. Graphically very pretty, but, functionality a pile of crap. Why do you think that most of the really important systems today are using a UNIX variant? Linux, BSD, OS X, etc. It s because UNIX is the most stable OS ON ... THE ... PLANET! Microsoft should ****-can all of their development, adopt a UNIX-like core and build a really good user interface. That s not likely because Microsoft is the king of tedious functionality. I could write 1,000 pages relating to the 10,000,000 million heartbeats Microsoft has stolen from me with BSD s, OS reinstalls, resetting settings in word and explore that don t stay set. etc.
the beta is already out, bud. go try it out ^^ http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows...
Where can i download a beta Windows 7? -
semi open to the public. its usually open to people in the computer field. Theres a group you can join on the m$ website that allows you to get betas. you probably wont get windows 7 tho.. theyll probably just give you an office beta
Should I download Windows 7 Beta 64 or 32 bit? -
64-bit is head over heals better than 32-bit, But remember it is a BETA, your games may not work at all (although it is unlikely), and yes you will get a big performance gain with 64-bit. Just to be sure you can handle it you may want to use the 64-bit readiness tool on windows site to avoid any surprises.
64-bit is most certainly NOT quot;head over heelsquot; better than 32-bit. The performance benefits are only apparent when you re dealing with MASSIVE amounts of data, like creative content, video authoring, pro photography, audio mastery, etc. I m talking about professional-level massive data, not crappy Youtube videos on Windows Movie Maker, or dorky photo slideshows. That kind of normal, everyday computing will show absolutely no performance benefits; in fact, you may actually see a bit of a slow down. Most everyday computing uses very little data. Computers sold at the height of the Pentium 4 era were overkill for that kind of stuff. Today s multi-core, 64-bit processors are even more overkill. It s like saying quot;Man, I upgraded my CPU from 2.4GHz to 3.06GHz, and I can type Word documents soooo much faster!!quot; There is a certain point where performance becomes extraneous, and we ve reached that point years ago. It s like a Toyota versus a Ferrari. The performance benefit is achieved only under certain circumstances. It s clear which one has an advantage in a drag race, but they perform the same in everyday traffic. 64-bit device drivers aren t quite mature yet either. A lot of the Vista compatibility issues are because hardware vendors are dropping the ball with 64-bit drivers. Hell, most of the 64-bit capable systems sold today ship with 32-bit Vista preloaded, simply because of compatibility issues. Go with 32-bit for now, again, strictly for compatibility with your hardware. Don t adopt 64-bit unless you really have to. Wait until hardware vendors get going on 64-bit compatibility.
Are you using the Windows 7 beta? -
So far so good. I like how they sped it up. It is faster to boot than vista by far, and some ppl are saying it is booting faster than XP in some tests. I like that they kept the ASLR from Vista, it makes it much harder for bad guys to execute buffer overflows against the OS. I said harder.. Not impossible.. :) I am not sure what I think about the aesthetic of it. It looks like vista with a little OSX docking thrown in. Certainly not nearly as cool as OSX either.
In a virtual machine in VMWare yes, no major issues so far. As for differences - already a much smaller footprint for one (hopefully not just because it s a beta). Link below for info and to download the beta version of Windows 7 from Microsoft, both X86 and X64 versions available.
It feels faster than Vista.
I like it. I find people who don t like this or Vista just aren t used to it or computer savvy. Works good so far.
Windows 7 easy 10 points? -
its prolly not supported by windows seven so your prolly wont get it to work
Dowload Windows Live, it s actually a program from Microsoft, I think it was made for Windows 7 actually. Find that and download it comes with Messenger. (or go find Windows Live Messenger 2009, newest version).

Where can i get Windows 7? -
Good Evening John D, My name is Jeff and I work with the Windows Outreach Team. I, too, do not have the exact links for where or when the download will be available this Friday. The best way to set yourself up to be notified the moment it becomes available for download is to subscribe to the Windows team RSS feed at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... . Links should be available from there directing people where to go to download their copy of Windows 7 Beta. Cheers, Jeff Windows Outreach Team
If you are an msdn subscriber you can download it now from there. See the attached link. It will be available at MS on Friday (tomorrow)

If it is available, it will be at Microsofts main site.

Windows vista failure and windows 7? -
Your dad is an idiot. Tell him I said so. Vista is AWESOME and as far as new operating systems go, it had one of the LEAST amount of problems of ANY new OS release (that includes Apple s touted OS X). Most users agree, Vista is a good OS. Most of the people who don t like Vista have never tried it. Windows 7 is only available in beta form, and it stops working after August 1st of this year. Windows 7 isn t expected to be realsed until next year. It s also worth noting that Windows 7 is software and has nothing to do with a computer s hardware.
Windows Vista is so brilliant, it has scores of users across the internet baying for the blood of anyone who would say otherwise. This is known as the quot;I ve spent lots of money on this computer, and you re not going to mess it up for mequot; syndrome. FACT: Microsoft is so embarrassed by Vista s negative image that they ve decided to release a new OS a year after Vista! That is a whole 6 years early! So, of course the other guys are right. Vista is a life-changing wonderful experience. Once you ve acquired the patience needed to wait until it will let you use it. Oh, and sales of XP CD s to Vista owners are beating sales of Vista full stop. That s how good Vista is. They had to make all new hardware not support XP to force everyone over to Vista.
You can download windows 7 through Microsoft s website, but its only a beta (test for say) and you can only use the beta until August. If you know a good deal about pc s and want to try it go ahead. If not wait till the final release of actual os before going to 7.
Well first off you need to be useing IE 8 for 7 to work right, make sure you create a system restore point befor installing Windows 7 Beta. It dont cost a cent so here is a chance to give it a test drive.
first vista is not a failure, people doen t know how to use it s efficiency since it s a new platform, ya i admit the more congested one. second there is no such sceme going on and never will be in future.
I am trying to dowwnload windows 7 off of yahoo, but when downloaded i can not log on to internet, what gives? -
what is wrong is that IE7 is a big mess.full of bugs so wait a couple months and then download it from Microsoft web site.
What you are trying to download is not Windows 7, but Internet Explorer 7 from the Yahoo site. This is a big problem, and my best advice to you is to stop trying. IE7 is really a mess, and will cause you and your computer no end of problems. Wait a few months and see if Microsoft gets the problems fixed before trying to use Internet Explorer 7, especially the one found on Yahoo!
IE 7 is a pain, use Opera instead or stick with IE 6 Oh and if you do decide you want IE7, get it from Microsoft s web site ... not a third party like Yahoo.
Will drivers for windows vista be ready for windows 7 beta? -

Should I upgrade to windows 7 or not? -
Almost all of the online games I play doesn t even support Vista yet. I can t imagine the delay of waiting for Windows 7 support =/ Just make sure you back it up before you try your Win 7 beta, cuz I know you re itching to ;)
You have windows ultimate which means you have the best OS right now. Beta means it s being tested. You are going to turn a good machine into a lab rat. Beta will have security issues, bugs and little to no support.
Wait it out. For the moment use Vista for games as you wont get much support for them in Windows 7. Also no doubt It will be buggy at the moment as you are in the test group to iron out the bugs.

If there is a Vista ver download it and try to install. If it won t or there is only a XP version then try to right click on the EXE file for the installer/ click properties/compatibility Tab/check quot;Run this in compatibility mode forquot;/select winXP sp2/click OK/Then open the file to install This worked with some proprietary software I had with my laptop. Good luck
Windows 7 is still in beta. Maybe the utility isn t compatible with Windows 7?
After the windows 7 beta expires, what happens to my computer? -
This is from microsoft s website quot;The Windows 7 Beta is a pre-release version of Windows. While we consider this a stable and high-quality beta, it’s not the finished product. It could crash your computer or cause you to lose important files or information. The Beta will stop working on August 1, 2009. To continue using your PC, please be prepared to reinstall a prior version of Windows or a subsequent release of Windows 7 before the expiration date. You won’t be able to upgrade from the Beta to the final retail version of Windows 7. Important Note to Internet Explorer 8 Beta testers: If you re already testing Internet Explorer 8, please be aware that the version in the Windows 7 Beta is at a different stage of release. If you’re beta-testing Windows 7, you need to use the version of Internet Explorer 8 that comes with it. quot;
I m not sure if it will allow you to revert back to Vista, but with a beta, I would be very cautious. Make a backup image of your entire hard drive before installing Windows 7. Optionally, if you have enough space on your hard drive, you could partition it using Vista s partition manager and then install Windows 7 on a separate partition from Vista (dual boot), thus keeping Vista installed and untouched. Then you can choose to go back and forth between the two. A virtual machine is an option, but I had actually tried that first and it wasn t very fast, so I decided to dual boot on the laptop. Since you don t have a recovery disk for your computer, I recommend making a backup whether you decide to install Windows 7 or not.
Well since you are asking that I m guessing your not a developer which means you plan to illegally obtain a copy so just get the 7000 Build Beta Patch from somewhere like www.thepiratebay.org and keep Windows 7. Vista sucks anyways and I ve been using Windows 7 for almost 3 weeks now and have only had one problem with media player 12 (the mp3 cutter) and that was before they released the first windows 7 update last week. Now everything works like a charm. And as a bonus tip use about 4 times the amount of your P.C. s RAM in usb jumpdrives dedicated to ReadyBoost and That somb**ch ll fly like me on 3 bluntz.
When the beta expires, it quits working. You have to format the drive and reinstall a new OS from scratch. With any beta software, it should be installed on a PC that you don t have any important data on and that you don t care about. they re notorious for glitches that do things like wipe out your hard drive when you enter the wrong command.
basically what people are saying is dont set this as your active OS. make a partition and play around with windows seven till it comes out then overwrite your vista with seven (it will keep your files) but one thing you will be happy to know is that anyone with windows vista gets a free upgrade to windows seven =)
Dual boot your PC. Install it on the other partition. This also helps if something goes wrong with windows 7. You can revert back to the old system. Its deads easy. You don t need to be a computer genius to do it: go to this website: http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_vista... JUST CHANGE THE XP FOR WINDOWS 7 I have done this with Windows 7
Install it on your Virtual PC or a testing PC. Do not use your main computer. It is beta and it can have many hidden bugs You do not have much help out there right now. Like you said it is going to expire.
http://www.utorrent.com/download.php if you dont have it to download this on pirate bay to register win 7 http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4635976/... fully activated
When the licence expires, the computer will lock you out. Install the beta in a VM like Virtualbox if you want to be safe.
If you download the crack than the beta doesn t expire. It will revert it back to 30 days and when it gets low in days just crack it again.
It expires, you need to do a format.
You will get a note about expire and the OS will quit working
Installing Windows 7? -
You can Extract the ISO to a Folder. Hence Run the .exe file and then Install as usual to the External Hard Drive.
doubt if you can install from the desktop
Using VISTA? Or waiting for Windows 7 ? -
Windows 7 is basically a stripped down version of Vista with a better desktop, I d say Windows 7 is better, MinWin weighs little more than the average Unix kernel, meaning a couple of K on the RAM doesn t mean anything. People seem to get confused as when Linux geeks say Windows Vista/7 is fat and slow , well they think its the coding, well for their information, Windows Vista and Windows 7 only uses 2K more on the RAM than Linux 2.6 does and CPU speeds are untouched unless engaging in some calculation. Windows Vista and Windows 7 target the GPU and not the CPU in most cases, and GPUs are in most cases slower than CPUs because they are in less production because of all the transistors they have for texturisation and polygon mapping, targetting the GPU for graphics leads to a major flaw, in older computers (2007 and earlier) the GPUs are nowhere near as good as the even currently slow GPUs, meaning the older GPUs won t easily run Vista/7, Windows 7 6956 targets the CPU and GPU in an equal balance - reference here: http://windowseven.co.cc/index.php/2008/... - out the CPU and GPU, enabling a fast and powerful experience with less specifications needed, the thing is, Linux targets the CPU naturally because it is a very shell-orientated kernel, meaning it has to send text-based instructions to the CPU to run, whereas Windows uses real binary data between all the hardware for a better graphical experience, which is acceptable, but without a good GPU you are in the dark, WARP and CPU-Acceleration will certainly enhance the Aero and 3D experience in smaller, more portable PCs, and older ones. Basically the Acceleration forces this to happen GPU-HZ + CPU-HZ = Fast Speeds, slowing both accelerations to both of the Processing Units. At the end of this, 7 will match Linux s speeds with an Aero Desktop, which means there is no reason to stay with Linux anymore, XP users should also be able to easily upgrade, if there PC is seriously bad, they can upgrade their PC, their GPU, or reduce their Aero usage, like removing transparency or using the Vista Basic theme, let s face it, the Vista Basic theme is no worse than the Luna theme, plus it works with DWM, unlike XP themes! There is no Windows 7 Beta yet, there is Windows 7 Alpha and Pre-Beta builds that were leaked illegally, but no Beta is coming out yet, we hope it will come out next month: http://windowseven.co.cc/index.php/2008/...
Don t come in others words..Just believe me Vista works fine with SP1...Windows 7 is ultra fast compare to Windows...I have been using it over one month..You can pick Windows 7 after six months only..
Vista is another bloated pig with more lipstick. Windows 7 is vaporware. XP would be the better option or just get a Mac
I think Windows 7 is sluggish.
Can i install vista upgrade over windows 7? -
No you can not upgrade Windows 7 as it is newer than Vista. If you decide to install Windows 7, the only way back is to install a windows version earlier than Vista ( XP) then you can use your Vista upgrade disk to upgrade to Vista.
You might have problems upgrading backwards (i.e. to an earlier version). Your best plan would be to back up all the stuff you want to keep and do a completely fresh install - then put you docs and stuff back on.
Should I wait to upgrade my pc until windows 7 comes out? -
Ok, it s no big deal to go out now and buy a Vista machine, it had a very poor reception and really had the same problems that windows XP did, but look at windows XP now, it became a rock solid, steady and stable operating system. Windows 7 will be released and will step in and be the finished product encorporating all of vista s positives.. with added flavour. like windows 95 amp;98, 98 built on all the good features and added some other solid features. All operating systems go through the mill of critcism because a OS like vista rolls in new technological standards aswell, support for more ram, catering for faster processors, and new hardware, multimedia capabilities, Direct X for games, major steps forward in the industry mean forgetting about supporting older tech and going straight forward by support the latest and best advancements. Good Luck
Vista isn t as bad as people say. Yes there are some problems. The overall OS is very stable. Some random problems occur but that has happened since the dawn of computers. I would go ahead and get a nice vista PC.
When will WINDOWS 7 be released? -
Windows 7 will most likely be launched around Q2-Q3 in 2010. Microsoft has spent too much money on Vista to not let it grow for less than two years. Some things that will be different include: enhance security (with less annoyance), faster and more optimized with your computer, less graphical features, geared towards the business/casual user compared to the media fan.
windows quot;7quot; will be released some time in 2011, but i dont know what and how it will differ from vista... i think the only ppl that know that are Microsoft employees, because it all looke the same to me.. we ll have to see when it comes out..

Windows 7 will be Unix like!? -
Apparently so as I have heard the same. If this turns out to be the case then it can only be a good thing. Good luck. LUg.
I don t think Windows 7 will be more Unix-like. Their primary goal needs to be to fix all of the mistakes they made with Vista, just like what they did with ME and XP. They need to fix the slowness with Vista as well as other problems. There s more discussion on Windows 7 here: http://www.speculationcentral.com/viewto...
hm I hope it s true I want Windows to become more Unix-like But of course if there s going to be backwards-compatibility problems, people will complain.
if that were true they would need a very good dose of wine to make all there apps work so I would dought the kernal would be that radicly changed the world would be a better place if it were unix like but I have serious doughts
dunno. but it would be good news. since its a rush job because of vista, i doubt it

What happens when the Windows 7 trial runs out? -
big mistake in my opinion laying it over your vista installation. very doubtful if you will be able to rollback. and i m sure you have found out it is buggy and incomplete in beta. so hopefully you have the capability to save your files onto cd/dvds for when you have to reformat and reinstall vista after the trial runs out.
It won t automatically roll back after the trial. Typically these betas are designed to run until after the release - I believe W7 will run until 2010. At that time you ll be forced to buy the retail package. If you want to go back to Vista you ll need the CD/DVD it came from and perform a reinstall.
personally i would imagine you will get the option to buy W7 or return to Vista, but as with all microsoft products, these bound to be problems!!
Is it possible to Dual-boot XP and Windows 7 on 2 separate hard drives? -
Enter the computer BIOS and change the boot order. This will allow you to change which drive the BIOS looks at first to perform the boot.
This article shows you how to dual boot XP and Windows 7 on different partitions.http://www.downloadtube.com/bl... Report Abuse
Here is how I solved this problem. A little easier than going in to the BIOS every time. http://maklein.com Report Abuse
Is there a safe way to uninstall my windows internet explorer 7? -
Uninstall it from the Control Panel and quot;Add/Remove Programsquot; option. Then download and install Firefox. It is free and knocks the spots off IE for features, stability and security.
well go to the controlpannel then add/remove program select internet explorer and click remove then find a new program
system restore or by using regedit.
Question about using the Windows 7 beta build 1? -
If you upgrade your PC to windows 7 from Vista you won t be able to roll back it. I don t know what will happen when the trial period is over.Think it will lock it self. But you can install windows 7 as a secondary OS.It means you can install it without changing vista.. Then you will be able to use both os..
DO NOT overwrite Vista as you will not be able to roll back. Windows 7 is awesome and I have been using it since Build 6801 thru 6956, soon to install 7000 Beta 1 I know its tempting but I suggest installing it on a spare Hard Drive if you have one lying around. As long as the Drive is no less than 40gb then you will be able to enjoy Windows like it has never been before. LUG.
i think, u must install Windows 7 in a seperate drive in ur existing machine.. suppose u ve install d ur Vista in C:\ drive, install this Windows 7 in quot;D:\quot; as a completely fresh install.. so ur PC, will have a dual boot, amp; u can use both Vista as well as Se7en! just try it out...
Don t do it! Windows 7 is BETA remember and for testing by those who know what they re doing. It s not a freebie to take the place of Vista. Stick with Vista - it s much maligned by n00bs and is in fact very reliable and solid. :-)
Suggest you leave the beta version alone unless you are an expert. It will not just quot;go backquot; to vista when the beta ends. You should check out what restore disks you have - or whether your Vista install files are on a hidden partition on your drive.
Why go to Windows7, aren t you having enough trouble with Vista?
How much will windows 7 cost? -
you are right, it will be the same price as Windows Vista when it came out. i agree to Microsoft with the price
How is windows 7 i want the review? -
I tried the beta version for 30 days.Windows 7 is Vista without the annoyances and the ugliness. The UAC that drove people crazy now has lower settings, there are no popups. That ugly memory hog the sidebar is optional, they improved the defragment tool, you have a visual of what is going on now. Also when you start the computer you have the basic icons on medium size and not those ugly huge ones. There are also some more visual enchantments.Windows 7 has the same requirements as Vista.I liked it very much I can t wait for the release
I am running the latest build of Windows 7. All that I have to say is that is one of the best products out of Redmond in the past ten years. Currently it runs about as fast as XP on the same machine but it runs with all of the eye candy (in my opinion, it works better). Microsoft has also begun to implement new features that make the product overall much better. I have also read that they are beginning to work on a way for the cpu to run as a gpu. I look forward to seeing the final release.

Hi, I m apart of the official Microsoft press, I have been to the WinHEC in Beijing, its looking good so far, and its what the others say, What Windows Vista should have been . I own a site that gathers the material from across the web about Windows 7, and I found a feature-long article on it: http://windowseven.co.cc/index.php/2008/... If you are not sure, leave me a comment later. Thanks. CybX.
It s not out yet, it s in development. But I hear that it has all of the same requirements of XP, with the looks of Vista. You get the best of both worlds. They will soon, however, be releasing a release candidate (be warned, it will be far from the final copy, in terms of stability).
wait body, its still in beta version, some ppl are working on it, but its confidential, you can see some pics on google, but thats it. It look more as Vista, but will probably be better than Vista... Even Xp is much better than Vista... #7 is for very soon tho, Spring they said

How much would double glazing cost for 7 windows and 2 doors? -
use a local joiner or builder, not a double-glazing company. It ll be cheaper and a lot less hassle.
ring around all the double glazing firms in ur area ask them for quotes when u get all the quotes look for the average then go with that one
Get a quote from at least three companies but beware they will all try to get an answer while in the house ,but be firm after the price say you need more quotes.
There are many dealers out their, or you could even,go and bog of, buy one get one free, lol
call a double glazing company im sure they can give you a ruff estimate
Depends which country you are in!
depends on the company

I have a few questions about windows 7 beta.? -
No - you won t be able to go back simply to your older operating system once you opt to upgrade; the upgrade process takes longer than a fresh installation of Windows 7 and things can go wrong. If you are serious about trying out Win7, the first thing you should do is to create a mirror image backup of your current pc as it is today and back up either to dvd or to an external hard drive. Vista Business and Ultimate come with this kind of back up software - if you have Home Basic or Premium, use a free tool such as Macrium reflect free http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.asp you can create a recovery cd - you boot from this to restore your back up image and once restored, your pc comes back as if nothing has happened. Once you have a backup image, you can then decide either to do a fresh install (and wipe out your present Vista configuration) or dual boot Vista and Win7 You can find many guides on how to do this http://lifehacker.com/5126781/how-to-dua... Another option is to run Windows 7 inside your Vista machine as a virtual machine using, for example, a free tool such as Virtualbox http://www.virtualbox.org/ How to: http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2009... I am running Win7 as a virtual machine on a Toshiba laptop running Vista Business - it s working well and I have had no problems running software that I used on Vista. BACKUP! BACKUP! BACKUP!
Hello cjconner- My name is Jeff and I work with the Windows Outreach Team. Zoomjet has answered your question very well and the only point he didn’t hit on was your question about compatibility. In theory, if a program can work on Vista, it will work on Windows 7. Note though that this is a Beta and there are bound to be exceptions to this rule of thumb. In the future if you come across any technical questions regarding Windows 7, take a look at the Windows 7 TechNet forum. It is a solid resource for finding solutions to error codes, where to find certain drivers, or find answers to a problem you may come across. Here is the link to this forum. Good luck and thank you for trying Windows 7. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Foru... Best, Jeff Windows Outreach Team
Upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7? -
Funny you asked, I actually downloaded and installed the latest BETA version of Windows 7 (Built 7000) today via torrent. The computer I installed it on is about 4 years old and wasn t even vista compatible until I upgraded my RAM and Graphics Card. If your computer if vista compatible I m sure it will run Windows 7 without a problem. It actually preforms better than Vista and uses few resources. Anyway, it shouldn t be a problem. By the way, the new boot screen is awesome! :D
Maybe. But the specs have not fully been released yet, so it will be hard to tell. It may need much more than what Vista required.
Yea more then likely it will run windows 7. Windows 7 is supposed to be less resource intensive then Vista.
The specs are still being hammered out

(Jared, it s the Win7 beta.) I use Firefox, not IE; I ve noticed that FF hangs a bit (Not Responding) when my virus scan is running. Maybe this is what you re experiencing. Are you running a lot of programs at the same time? Which versions of IE and WMP do you have? Does it happen all the time, or just occasionally at random times?
I didnt even know windows 7 was out yet?

I don t know alot about vista (I am an xp guy) but if it doesn t work, install it anyways, then right click the icon, then somewhere in one of the tabs it will say: Run in Compatibility mode for: and choose a previous version of windows check apple to see if they made a patch for vista (most likely they did)

How do i un install internet explore 7 from my windows vista laptop? -
You can t retrograde to IE6 if you use Vista. You have to use IE7. Furthermore, trying to remove IE7 can corrupt critical operating system files as well as Windows Live Mail (formerly Outlook Express). If you have been trying to remove it, you may want to consider running a System File Checker (SFC). This can be run in Safe Mode should you prefer. To get into Safe Mode either hold down or tap the F8 key repeatedly while the computer is starting up. Since you have the Vista operating system, the steps are a bit different due to the UAC for running SFC. See the link below. http://vistasupport.mvps.org/system_file... What SFC does is that it attempts to fix or replace critical operating system files. Sometimes this can be done without the installation disk, however it may prompt you for the appropriate operating system installation disk. If that is the case, then you know that you definitely have major file corruption or something missing. Insert the disk if prompted. Also you should run SFC using the Administrator account. Don t surf, play games or do anything while SFC runs. After it is completed, reboot your computer.
i had downloaded e7 for my lap top and didnt like it, i tried to unistall e7. but couldnt, i had to reformat my laptop. dont know if there is an easier way but i did what i did to get to use my laptop
You Can t unless you manually went through and deleted all the files and registry Keys associated with IE. (( I DO NOT RECOMMEND doing that though cause you may ruin Windows all together by doing that, some programs will only run in IE.)) Install Firefox or Opera, then Go to quot;Control Panelquot; gt; quot;Programsquot; and click the quot;Set Your Default Programsquot; link. Click on your browser of choice then click quot;Set this program as Default or manually select the defaults by clicking the Choose defaults for this Program link and clicking the boxes by each item you want the program to be the default for. Click OK and you re done. You can delete the IE Shortcuts from your Quick Launch and Desktop to make it a little harder for other computer Users to use Internet Explorer.

If i have 32bit vista could i get 64 bit windows 7? -
Only if your hardware (motherboard) supports it.
Why is it called Windows 7? -
It s actually Windows 6.1, amusingly enough. From their internal numbers, Win 95 was 4.0, Win 98 was 4.10.1998, Win 98 SE was 4.10.2222A, ME was 4.90.3000. Then Win2k was 5.0, xp was 5.1, and Vista is 6.0. quot;Windows 7quot; is currently reporting itself as 6.1... which in part is because it s intended to be very backwards-compatible with Vista. So it s like they followed their logic trail, then looped around and chopped its head off. ;)
It is the 7th major revision. The names were confusing people so they went with the KISS method this time around.
I have many problems in Windows 7? -
Personally I am not having any problems. However if indeed you are looking for solutions to issues visit the MyDigitalLife Windows 7 forum http://forums.mydigitallife.info/forumdi... LUg.
*palmface* Windows 7 is in beta mode! You should contact windows or file an error report. I hope you weren t using that as your main OS. Not a smart move as it s still in Beta.
its a beta its gonna have problems

Will I have to have anything special for my laptop to be able to make the new touch screen in Windows 7 work? -
I guess dont be too fast asking this because win 7 is not out yet... but you can use the packs for be ur win xp or vista like win 7, the microsoft corporation will say the requirments for the new operative system
You need the neccesary drivers to make the touch screen work.
couldn t hurt to buy a touchscreen. kinda silly to touch a normal screen...
How does the future look for Vista when Windows 7 is released in 2010? -
sure, the lead developer on vista was relesed not long ago. windows 7 is more likley going to be great, but that dose not mean vista will not be ether. I say after service pack 2 vista will have a lot of junk code removed for better code. I know 7 has started down to the kernal, at point of less than 25 meg is size. I can say much more about it, but I would like to see microsoft user a unix kernal make that ntfs and run a sql data base like emulater so it would be compliant accross the board. first user is dead wrong on this one.
Vista was a disaster after XP. I hope it improves in the next 3 years with service packs. However, windows 7 or anything can be an improvement on the existing Vista. The future for Vista seems dark.
When the first service pack is released soon I think alot of the Vista issues will be resolved. I personally have Vista Home Premium and it works great. I play games like Battlefield 2142, Ghost Recon, etc.. online and have no problems. I also do Video editing, DVD productions and Windows Application programming and have no issues with it at all. ME was a flop but Vista will last, as we all know as with every version of windows....windows 7 will not come out in 2010, more like 2011 or 2012. Vista will be the new XP in the next year or so as the service pack fixes bugs. XP was not that great on its original release...neither was 98, but 98 SE was one of the most stable Microsoft has had. Remember XP is thought to be grand and it is good, but it is on service pack 2 with three coming out in the near future.
You probably won t know that much of a difference between vista and windows 7. it probably well look more like windows 98 did (compared to windows 95). Trust me, when it comes out, everybody well be rolling there computers back to vista!
It will still be unstable expensive bloatware.IMHO

Can you download Windows 7 BETA and put it on a cd not a dvd? -
Windows 7 Beta was, when I downloaded it, 2 GB. I have never seen a CD with more than 2 GB of space, so therefore you have to split the Beta ISO into pieces so that it can fit on multiple CDs.
1. u dont need any of those 2. just download magic iso at magiciso.com 3. once u downlod it right click on the windows 7 isogt; click magic isogt; click extact 4. then u should get a folder. 5. open it and click setup. 6. install windows 7 but a cd wont work because it doesnt have enough MB on it for the windows 7 file.
Hey you can get it in the following url. But I dont think it can be put it in a dvd or anything else Check it out!
You would have to use a program to split the DVD image into several parts, then burn the parts onto a CD. The Image was meant to be on a DVD.
You need to burn the ISO to a DVD. It will not work if you burn it to multiple CDs. Best, Jeff Windows Outreach Team

Should I stay with vista or wait and download windows 7 beta? -
Beta won t have a lot of the working features that vista has. For example, when I was using Vista beta, I couldn t play any music or videos because that software to decode it wasn t installed. Beta is just a test version for you to experiment with and report any possible problems and compatibilities. I always keep the original OS on my computer and load the beta on it as well so I can play around with the new one while still having the fully working Vista. Several programs more than likely will not work with Windows 7 either.
Definitely stick with Vista for right now. Now that Vista has Service Pack 1 under it s belt a lot of the problems it initially had went away. With Windows 7 beta, you re guaranteed to have problems.
omg if i was you i wouldnt even bother with windows 7 beta m/s just want you to tell them the problem that you will have with its a waste of time stick with vista dnt bother with window 7 untill its sold world wide

Whats the difference between vista and the newly coming windows 7? -
Why does Firefox3 take over windows explorer 7 when i install it? -
Internet browsers will always fight to be your default program. You have to set them the way you want them. If you go into the properties you should be able to set which one is default and set the other one to not check if it is the default. That should keep it from trying to take over.
If you want IE7, try re installing it. Or re install Firefox 3
Should i buy windows vista 64 bit or get windows 7 beta 64 bit? -
Beta means that is for testing purposes only. You can not use it as your OS. In August this year you will not be able to use windows 7 beta any more. In 2010 it will come out officially and you can purchase it and use it as your main OS. Until then, just install it on a second partition next to windows xp or vista and test it out.
Well Beta does mean their could be some problems. Stick with Vista until 7 is more stable.
I have heard that Windows 7 is perfect and ready to go... I would go with it.
Never get a new O/S until Service Pack 1 is out.
My computer cam with windows vista SP1. I installed windows 7 but did not partition the hardrive. ? -
I made 2 partitions when I installed XP.Then I split the extra partition from Disk Management and installed Windows 7 on one of them. Windows 7 has a bootloader and I choose either Windows 7 or XP at boot. You may be able to go to Disk Management and Shrink Volume and create a partition to load Vista on.
Need step by step ionstructions installing windows 7 on ubuntu? (updated question)? -
Reboot gt;gt; Esc or Delete key. Make sure in the BIOS is set to boot the CD drive first. Exit safe changes. JMK http://funnyassblog.com
He needs to have the disk in the drive when he boots up. if that doesn t work prehaps the disk is broken. You can t install from the desktop. And he wants to install windows 7 onto his computer, not ubuntu
If he has a line on the screen, chances are his graphics processor is not supported by Windows 7. If his graphics card/processor isn t supported, be aware a virtual machine will not work either.

How different is the Windows 7 beta really? -
Hey Colbat- Gizmodo has provided well-rounded coverage of Windows 7 Beta since its release. Here are some articles to take a look at: http://i.gizmodo.com/5136781/gizmodos-co... The Windows 7 homepage is a good place to see what new features are included in the Windows 7 Beta: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... If you are considering upgrading from Vista to the Beta, be sure to backup all of your files and be ready to reinstall Vista once the beta trial period expires Aug. 1 2009. Thanks for your interest in Windows 7 Beta! Jeff Windows Outreach Team
Windows 7 will run faster then Vista. Thats all! They are using the same kernel and only making minor changes to the GUI. Will it be very intuitive? I think not. Will they fix the problems that make Vista harder to use then XP? Prob not. Its funny how simple things in XP you can just click on and in Vista the only way to do them is through DOS. That not making an OS easier to use.
I see little difference for my use. It does have a nice fish in the center of the screen for bckground pic (by default) Worth upgrading to whatever it is finally called? Depends on each person and their use of computers.
I installed windows 7 and now i cant open a friends myspace page what happened? -
switch to firefox.
windows 7 is not available to the public yet, if this is actually what your talking about, its been downloaded from a peer2peer network... and well DUH!!!! if its made by some joeblow then its also got a bunch of spyware/trojans/viruses/malware included in it and that would be all the explanation you need.
New Windows Price pound;7,500!!!? -
Sound about right for good quality stuff about 4 years ago I had 14 windows done for £6.500 but no front door and it was a good quality job. No doubt you can get cheaper quotes but you have to consider the standards
12 windows, a front door and brickwork sounds pretty reasonable if the quality is good. Depends whose profile the frames are.....
Sounds about right to be honest. UPVC are very much you get what you pay for. I went with the people who had done my neighbours. Not just for the price but because they made a really good job and they looked good. Five years on mine still look great. I think it was about £3000 for 6 including 2 bays. A good door is sort of £750 to £1000 I believe. I also try to use people who come recommended if I can. And here s a tip. We had false vents put on so that the profile of the windows all looked the same. It stops the openers looking like they were stuck on. Good luck anyway.
Well to be honest it does sound a little expensive for what you are having. I used to be a Sales Rep for Anglian Home Improvements. You could try giving them a call, they always have offers on and can always give you money off the price they quote .. believe me!! I know all the tricks now .. lol. They arent necessarily the cheapest on the market but the quality is fantastic. All the windows are made from scratch in Norwich (i have watched it all and was very interesting). No imported cheap rubbish. Hope that helped and good luck with your new windows!
Sounds alot to me, get some other quotes to compare it to
oh my god we got windows close to those specs and we paid £5,000 with 10 yrs discount, call tudor design or go on there website really good people friendly and when say Janis Gibson recmmended u
Go via builder. you will get a much better price. Either make sure they are FENSA approved or do it via building notice at the council to get them signed off. We buy a few windows ( as I build/develop a few houses - normally 3 a year but not so many this last year ) and pay about £70 for a metre square transient + opener. Of the top of my head, the last job included front door, 2m wide drawf wall window ( x2 ) , 1m square c/w transient, 1m sq c/w trans+opener..all that was about £700 for the plastic and glass. its decent stuff from a local supplier rather than a big-brand name With a quot;localquot; builder you d be looking at less than half your quote.
We had new windows about 2 years ago and we paid £7000.00 we had 2 front doors, patio doors (brickwork knocked out) 1 back door and 8 windows 1 which was a bow window, so I dont think it is that bad but I would still shop around for other prices.
Doesn t sound bad to me, but bear in mind that there are only a few brands of extrusion available so look at the web site of the make they are using and compare tech spec with others. I always get three quotes. You have made no mention of the type of glass they are using. They are supposed to be using a superior heat retention glass now, but some are still getting away with the old stuff.
Lots of window companies are just sales people who don t actually do the work themselves. I don t know if this applies to your company. Get more quotes from window companies, and try local builders as well. Better still, find a house that is already having windows fitted and approach the fitters. They are often small businesses that rely on the advertising of the large window companies to get their work. £7500 sounds like a good price but you should be able to cut out the middle man and still get the quality and the guarantees.
Make sure the frames are Kommerlin or Rehau. For the glass, ask for System 7. Some firms do their own glass but do not have the equipment to fill the gap with nitrogen or dry the air properly. You get fungal growth in side after 10 years. If they are good quality, the price is not bad. Try another quote and see.
The only way is to obtain competitive quotation from another two reputable companies, and make sure you are comparing similar qualities of workmanship and materials, and know exactly what is included. In these days of CDM legislation (Health and Safety) the price can easily be inflated through no fault of the company doing the work.
for me, sounds about right... i mean. we just got our windows changed - gt; 2 bay windows. gt; 1 front door with a added side panel which need brickwork. gt; and 2 small windows. that cost £3,500 with the 10 year guarantee. and we got the best deal out of all the window fitters where we live. i think its about right, but you may want to bring another couple of window fitter quotes in. hope i helped.
How do i Delete Internet Explorer 7 from Windows Vista ? -
You can t get Internet Explorer off Windows. By the way, all Windows versions require IE to get the Microsoft updates, and so do most of the software that you use. You will be in for a big trouble even if you somehow do manage to get rid of it. Just forget it and continue using Firefox, what s the problem then?
IE7 is part of Vista... it cannot technically be deleted... you also don t really NEED to delete it... but to hide it, you can click Start (blue orb), set program access and defaults, and choose to hide Internet Explorer... just a note unlike IE6 and Windows XP IE7 is no longer highly integrated into the operating system... so just by having it installed it no longer presents the same type of security issues it once did... I d suggest just leaving it alone and hiding it if you re really dead set against seeing it....
How to recover from a bsod from windows on a macbook? -
I would think you can shut it down and boot OS X. I wish I could help more but I run XP and Vista on a virtual machine that way if anything happens is restricted to a virtual space and can t mess up things to bad. I recommend that if you can to get parallels and run just about any OS you want without risking too many problems. No rebooting and you can run the OS simultaneously and also in an integrated way. It takes care of drivers and all of the stuff windows needs. Good luck! http://www.parallels.com/products/deskto...
I no longer want explorer 8 windows explorer 7 work better with my programs ? -
@zonerdck. No... In the controll panel open add/remove applications down the list i belive its listed as quot;microsoft internet explorer beta 2quot; remove that and your back to using 7
Hi, You can go to follow the steps to uninstall Internet Explorer 8 Control Panel gt; Add and Remove Program Search for Internet Explorer 8 and uninstall the program. It will downgrade the Internet Explorer to 6 and you still need to install back the Internet Explorer 7. Hope it helps. Regards, Kevin Soh
What are you on about, Windows Internet Explorer 8 is much more powerful and user friendly, if you don t like UI, upgrade to Beta 2 from the Microsoft website: http://download.microsoft.com/
u can remove the explorer 8 from control panel........add/remove programs... then u can download IE7 and install it............ if explorer 8 was given as defualt in ur windows...........then go to control panel.......add/remove progs........add/remove windows components and there u can delete it and install IE7
uninstall it in add remove programs. It will set you back to your last browser
you go to add/remove windows componets in the control panel

Download Link for Windows 7? -
Windows 7 is not available LEGALLY. End Of. Alright, ok. Try here: http://windowseven.co.cc/index.php/2008/... You can re-visit my website for the latest builds of Windows 7 and the latest pressed news. Torrents are the most anonymous thing you can download from. Do you realize that Sri Lanka is covered by the International Laws, that means the Copyright Act Laws? I ll give you links, but I won t give you the original data, I don t trust torrents, I live in the UK, copyright laws are powerful here, just like they are in the US. The VHD is actually more legal, because it wasn t copyrighted, it s machinery, a virtual hard drive at that. WINDOWS 7 BETA IS NOT RELEASED, IT S PRE-BETA, WHICH MEANS LATE-ALPHA, WHICH MEANS ALPHA, USING INTERNAL TESTING BUILDS IN AN EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT, OF THE SUBJECT OF SOFTWARE IS A VIOLATION OF US AND INTERNATIONAL LAWS. ANYBODY CAUGHT SHARING THE PROPERTIES THAT ARE SUBJECT TO THIS KIND OF COPYRIGHTED WILL BE REPORTED AND DIRECTLY EXPOSED TO A COURT OF US LAW, TO FACE THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE CHARGES AND/OR PUNISHMENTS. I DO NOT AGREE IN THIS KIND OF SOFTWARE PIRACY, AND ONLY FOR THE PURPOSES OF ADVERTISING MY WEBSITE, I WILL SHOW YOU THE ACTUAL LINKS TO WINDOWS 7 VIA PRESS-FACING, I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS, AND IF YOU DARE ACTUALLY COMPLETE THE DOWNLOAD AND USE / SHARE THIS COPY OF THE SOFTWARE PROPORTIONS YOURSELF, IM SURE MICROSOFT AND ITS AGENCIES ARE HAPPY TO TRACK DOWN YOUR IP TO THE LOCATION, READY FOR PROSECUTION. http://www.mydigitallife.info/ Just a little notice. Reading the notice myself, gave we that little extra boost to not download nor use Windows 7, let alone the bugs it might endure. My advice to you is, if you can wait for a month, download the evaluation copy: http://windowseven.co.cc/index.php/2008/... Thanks. CybX.
That s Microsoft for you. Report Abuse
it is a beta program --meaning it is not finished --has bugs and incomplete files to be finished by qualified testers Use At Your Own Risk- when u crash --dont say i did t warn u --just wait for the finished proiduct---geee remember the problems with SP-3 ----well it s the same way thanks florin --atleast i am not the only one who knows about this
You re in Sri Lanka. You should be directing this question towards that region, not the US.
it s available only for MSDN subscribers ;)
