I have installed Windows 7 on a test PC and the install was flawless.. but. The screen resolution is grayed out and is set at 640x480 so everything is larger that the screen. I have tried a Dell E153FPc and a Lenovo 9227-AC1 but Windows 7 does not recognize either and just used the default Generic PnP monitor. Tried the drivers for WinXP and Vista for the Lenovo with no results. Any ideas?
Its the video card driver. More than likely it installed a generic driver. You will have to reinstall the one for your card.
