How can i view windows vista partition from windows 7? -

So i have three partitions on my laptop, C: (windows vista), D: (random stuff), and G: (windows 7) so when i go onto vista i can access the three partitions, but when on windows 7 i cant access the vista drive, i would like to because i have lots of stuff installed and dont want to reinstall on windows 7. i know you cant change switch the drive letters around, which would solve my problems. i have UAC disabled on both windows. and i even tried to turn on sharing of the vista drive. thank you

With Windows 7, it recognizes the hard drive and its partitions when boot up. Windows 7 now separates the partition with system files in it. In your case, C: is recognized as a Primary partition which Windows 7 hides so the partition cannot be opened. You need to download Norton Partition Magic to view hard drive partitions and stuff. Additional Details: Norton has already released version 9 which is compatible with Vista, version 8 and below will not work with Vista as if they are only designed to work with XP.

Thatis not the ONLY way to do it. Don t pay for software that 7 does itself! Startgt;right click quot;Computerquot;gt;Manage Storagegt;Disk Management right click your drive and quot;change drive letter and pathsquot; add (select drive letter) click OK Enjoy :) Report Abuse

Windows 7 by default does not assign drive letters to paritions containing other OSes, but you don t need an expensive program to resolve the issue. The quot;Disk Managementquot; control panel is all you need. Here is a vid showing the procedure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... Good luck! Report Abuse

tut tut you downloaded off pirate bay didn t you? windows vista is still in BETA and it still undergoing testing and why its supposedly not avliable to the public! should ve tried it on virtual pc or vmware.
