How to Install a windows support Printer to Ubuntu 7.10? -

I have a printer that only have windows support Driver. but i need to install it to my Ubuntu 7.10, how can i do that.

most of the times ubuntu recognize it most manufactures won t make a driver for every linux destrobution it is not like the pre-configured programes for ubuntu you will have to get the source compile it and configure some printers have special additional program (you can run the printer without it ) like hp s (one for all hp s )

So, ubuntu sees the printer, but you cannot print? go to manufacturers website (lexmark, HP, ect) search for drivers and look for Linux driver. Go to Ubuntu forums and ask... http://ubuntuforums.org/
