Can a mouse be used to play FINAL FANTASY 7 and FINAL FANTASY 8 for PC/Windows? -

Is it possible to use a mouse or does a mouse work on Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 8 for Windows? I was just wondering because I have limitted to no use of my hands and I dont want to buy something I cant use.
