If it s 7 years old, you will probably be looking for a hard drive that connects via IDE (also referred to as EIDE or ATA or PATA, but not SATA if it s 7 years old). Any hard drive of that type should fit your motherboard. If you d rather have a SATA drive (they re newer and almost always faster), you can buy a PCI expansion card that will allow your computer to control a SATA drive.
any HDD will do
adot444 is absolutely correct.
prob just plain old IDE hard drive, pricewatch.com best place to look. Have built several pooters from there.
Probably the Cerebrum Seven 40 - 120 GB series or any of the Bifco DX should do.
first off it has to be a hdd not the new ssd drive. and it has to be sata.
all that say that they re compatible with windows XP.. pretty self explanatory.
any hardrive but what about you ram can your mobo take enough ram to run xp? 128kb is min. for XP. A seven year old puter would be running sdram at a guess and if you can t up grade it you ony option is an expansion slot to take ram if you have a spare slot on mobo. Ifmobo doesn t take a faster ram like ddr your snookered, with the slow ram. good luck.
