When Windows 7 comes out how will it upgrade over Vista? -

Will the OS just overlap the other OS replacing primary system files? Will it delete my stuff that I have on my computer now? Also, will 7 be similar to Vista and will it be compatible with everything Vista is compatible with on my system?

Just like previous versions, Windows 7 would come as... 1. Upgrade: from Vista or XP, in all flavors. Here your data files would not be affected. 2. Standalone installation: You would have the data files you if you install the W7 over the previous version without formatting. You will also be able to have dual boot with the previous version.

it is like vista but faster and yes it will be compatible with everything on Vista

I dont know if Windows 7 will replace Vista but i know that everything is compatible and is very similar to vista.
