Can i dual boot Windows 7 on my Vista computer from an external hard drive? -

I know how to create a partition on the computer but I would rather be able to boot it from an external hard drive that has much more space. Please explain or point to a tutorial that explains how to have two OS s available for the computer, with one of them being on the external drive.

Sure you can ! Just buy a hammer and Screwdriver, get in there and tell those gnomes what you want and that you re SERIOUS this time. That ll show em

I would of thought it unlikely you can Boot Windows 7 from an external Drive. Its been tried with Vista enough times and mostly without success. Here is a guide to Dual Booting Vista and Windows 7 from your Primary Hard Drive http://windowsaddict.blogspot.com/2009/0... If you download Windows 7 from the official source an activation key will be issued with your download which will take you through to August 1st. 2009 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... LUG.

ok? windows 7 is no where near ready for a public release.
