How can I play Runescape HD on windows 7 beta ultimate, build 7000? -

Hello, I have just installed windows 7 beta (build 7000) and it is very amazing in my opinion, but sadly I cannot play Runescape in it s high detail not small normal, or full screen =/. I cannot access any features in HD including anti-aliasing or something :S. My last resort would be installing windows xp on a new partition but I don t really want to do that until I am fully finished testing out win7. in case some of you don t know runescape is a java based web browser game (mmorpg) just in case you don t know. but please help if you can :)

Well considering you using the beta version of windows im assuming that your pretty advanced with computers. Here s what i m going to do. I m also assuming that you know what Linux is. If you follow the instructions, whether you know what Linux is or not you ll see. FIRST Depending on how much hard drive space you have i recommend http://www.xubuntu.org/get If you have Low HARD DRIVE space. If you have a lot, or at least 20gb left use: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download SECOND Burn the .iso to a regular CD and insert it while in windows. A Windows Installer will appear and follow the steps. THRID Restart your computer and you should have the option of either Ubuntu, or Xubuntu, (Whatever you chose). FOURTH (LAST RESORT) Partition the drive Xubuntu uses about 2gb and Ubuntu 4gb. So i recommend Partition 10GB. ______________________________________... From Ubuntu/Xubuntu you have have Firefox, Try to Load Runescape, it wont load, So Firefox should give you the option to install the latest version of java. Install. Restart, And load runescape, first it loads in Standard, then try HIGH. It should work. It will be a bit laggy for the time being but start playing it and it will download the Cache. ______________________________________... awesome thanks I will try it later on :D Report Abuse

im sorry to tell you, but as of now it is impossible. until either microsoft or java issues a patch it wont work. and since windows 7 is in beta it is unlikely that java is going to fix it.
