What is windows 7 and when will it be out? -

is windows 7 a totally new OS? or just and upgrade. And i know the beta s already out but when will it officially be released?

Hey Chemical- My name is Jeff and I work with the Windows Outreach Team. First off, thanks for your interest in Windows 7. Windows 7 will be Microsoft’s next operating system. Currently, there is no set release date for the final version. Microsoft does not want to release Windows 7 until they feel it is functioning smoothly and ready for the masses. Windows 7 is Microsofts newest Operating System. (a totally new OS!) Rumors say it will be released around October of this year but who knows?
