I have a sony vaio laptop with windows vista,do i have to switch to windows explorer 7? -

if your referring to internet explorer please for the sake of sanity and the geek community use Mozilla Firefox, you can download it and it should work just fine on windows vista and it is the best browser ever.

Internet Explorer 7 is a web browser. It is the latest version but it s not completely necessary to switch to it. Windows 7 is Microsoft s newest operating system and has not been released yet. So quot;noquot; to both.

i m going to say no i have not with mine and it seems to work just fine

please, don t use internet explorer, use firefox it s safer.

if you mean Ie7 and you have vista Ie7 is part of vista you can t go back to Ie6 but you can go to Ie8 but if you meant windows 7 it is a new operating system and it is Beta I would wait on that if I were you.

Assuming we re talking Internet Explorer here, than yes and no. Internet Explorer version 6 or previous will not work with Vista unless do some substantial hacking. Changes in the kernel and etc. Regardless, most anyone would recommend you switch to Mozilla Firefox.

No, it hasn t even came out yet. Unless you meant Internet Explorer 7.

You do not have to switch to anything unless you want to. Internet Explorer 7? Just download and install it. But you re probably better off using something else anyhow, such as Firefox. Windows 7? that s beta test only and not currently available.

If you meant internet explorer, then no. You don t have to but it would be a good idea, not to mention it should have came with it preloaded. I like Firefox better though. It s not as heavily targeted with adware and spyware.

You don t have to but it is highly recommended

No. It s out only in BETA format now. It is really only a long overdue FIX for Vista and probably won t work all that better anyway. Stick with Vista until MS brings it out ready to go, not BETA.
