How do I disable PowerMizer in Windows 7? -

I am experiencing Aero performance issues in Windows 7 BETA build 7000 and I have read that it likely has something to do with PowerMizer. There are registry instructions to disable it for Vista, but a few things are different from Windows 7. If anyone has successfully disabled PowerMizer in Windows 7, could you please tell me how?

I believe you are an Nvidia card, right? As for me, I haven t had issues with Aero and PowerMizer....yet. What driver are you using and what type of card is it? I am using driver version 179.28(beta) with a GeForce 8600m GT. Try changing driver versions to see if it makes a difference.

I have a GeForce 7000m in my laptop. We have multiple laptops in our household, including one with the exact same Nvidia 7000m and it seems to have no problem with 3D functions. I will definitely try the same driver that you mentioned, but I still want to disable powermizer.. thanks! Report Abuse
