Is there any way I can install the Windows 7 beta without burning a dvd? -

I don t really have a dvd burner accessible to me right now, so I can t install windows 7 by traditional means. I do have a second hard drive that I would like to install it on, but I don t know how to without a dvd. I also tried suns Virtual Box to run windows 7 within my windows vista, but it was a little dissapointing since it was very limited (limited graphics, ram, and processing) Is there any way I could mount the virtual copy of windows 7 that virtual box made for me onto that second hard drive, or is there any other way I could do it without a dvd. Anything will help here.

It is possible to install Windows 7 Beta from an external HDD. Here is a guide that will help you if you have access to an HDD. http://www.istartedsomething.com/2008110... I hope this helps and thanks for being a Beta tester. Jeff Windows Outreach Team

Send me a copy of Vista 7 for me to analyze and I will tell you if there is a way. Tip: Upload the files onto a website and send me a link through email.

you could try using a flash drive. assuming you had one large enough to store all of the data. then you could switch between computers. then on boot up, just go into the bios and change the boot order from hard drive to usb device

The Beta is closed.
