Is Windows 7 going to completely replace Vista? -

I know that it s still too early to know for sure what it s going to be like but when Windows 7 is released will it completely replace Vista or will Vista still have a few features over W7?

Vista is newer than XP. XP wasn t replaced

Vista is a resource hog. Windows 7 will replace Windows Vista. Windows 7 runs faster than Windows Vista with lower hardware requirements. Windows 7 is basically what Microsoft wanted Windows Vista to be but due to project management and going out of budget on a project they had to cut Vista short and release it so they wouldn t lose any more money on their project. Basically Windows 7 is the new Vista. They both do the same essential things except that Windows 7 is probably 10x faster.

Running dual boot configuration Vista/Windows 7. Windows 7 is intended as the replacement for Vista just as Vista replaced XP as the current Windows OS

like all Microsoft operating systems, given time and it will of course replace Vista, but not for a good few years, you have to bare in mind that XP is still very common so Windows 7 will take around 5 years at least to become popular
