Putting windows 7 on a partion? -

I am currently creating a partion on my harddrive to install the windows 7 beta and test it out. Now I ve never done this before. I am downloading the 64 bit version and have allocated about 50 gigs in a seperate partion. Do I need to burn the .iso of windows 7 to a disk or are there other ways of doing this?

There are 2 ways you could do it you could burn the iso to a dvd and actually install it to your pc, but bear in mind if you mess up you will not be able to get back into your current operating system. Another safer way is to use a virtual machine solution such as vmware or virtual pc, I myself recommend Microsoft s virtual pc 2007 and the full version is completely free. PS although virtual pc says it only runs on certain versions of xp and vista ignore it it runs fine on all versions. And no-offence to you but the windows 7 betas are still quite buggy and only for experienced pc users and if you needed to ask that question do you really want to attempt to use windows 7 yet?

You can find software to manage multiple OSs on your computer. Look for multiboot software online and find one that you think will fight your needs.
