Right click on the shortcuts and select properties. Select the Shortcut tab and see what the target is. If it isn t something similar to quot;C:\Program Files\Internet explorer\IEXPLORE.EXEquot; you may have to go to that directory and create your own desktop shortcut, after getting rid of the existing ones. If it is, then you might have to uninstall and reinstall the application.

When i install windows internet explorer 7 and then click on the desktop icon it creates a shortcut why? -
it creates a shortcut, it does not open an internet window. the more i double click on the desktop icon the more shortcuts are made on my desktop.
