When is Windows 7 expected to be released? -

The beta I use now expires in August. The public beta is a near final version. I expect Windows 7 to be released when the beta expires or shortly there after by the end of the year.

see this is exactly what Microsoft wants...they failed to advertise vista well enough so people feared it and didn t want it so they advertise the crap out of 7 and people cant wait for it. This only proves the ability of large corporations to bend and make people think what the corporations want. and Windows 7 will be out within the next year so keep your pants on

Since Windows 7 beta quot;expiresquot; in August (and you ll need to re-install either Vista or XP to continue) my guess is this summer - It would be a crime by Microsoft to have all those beta users scramble to get their computers working in August if it where not true.

Windows 7 would not be released until January 2010. I think the beta is out though.

Anywhere from a year to a year and a half, it is too soon for a solid release date.
