I havnt installed windows vista yet and Bills thinking about releasing windows 7 by 2009? -

I havn t installed windows vista yet and Bill s thinking about releasing windows 7 by end of 2009 What do you guys think? I think Microsoft should hold windows 7 for at least 3 or 4 years because Vista has been around for only about 6 months. On the other had Windows xp after 7 years in the market, still has strong sales.

Vista has been here since Feb 2007. Microsoft always delays Windows releases so don t worry. I think the reason Microsoft released Vista when it was not ready was because they wanted the money. 5 years without releasing an OS was a long stretch for MS. The reason MS says it wants to release the next OS so early, in my opinion, is that 1) it will shut the fanboys up and 2) a lot of companies are on a quot;every-second-releasequot; cycle where they only upgrade on the second MS release. Skipping from XP - Win7 will be what happens with a LOT of companies Everybody thinks that XP is still a strong OS and that there is no reason to move.

Unless you buy a new computer and are stuck with vista, there is no reason you need to use it. Vista is slow and doesn t have many new features.
