Windows 7? -

What is this Windows 7? Is it Vista? Why is it announced so quickly after Vista? Is there anything special to it, ie, a special edition of Vista?

Windows 7 (formerly known as Blackcomb and Vienna) is the working name for the next major version of Microsoft Windows as the successor of Windows Vista. Microsoft has announced that it is quot;scoping Windows 7 development to a three-year timeframequot;, and that quot;the specific release date will ultimately be determined by meeting the quality bar.quot; Windows 7 is expected to be released sometime in 2010. The client versions of Windows 7 will ship in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. A server variant, codenamed Windows Server 7, is also under development.

windows 7 is another version of microsoft that will be coming out, there are romours that it will be realeased in 2009 or 2010. microsoft says the user interface is same as vista but its going to be better. go here for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7

As mentioned it s going to be the new Windows. They say/shown that it will have the multi touch facility (same as the iPhone, and the coffee table thing Microsoft have done.) So I suppose that is going to be the special thing about it.

Windows 7 is the next Operating System after Windows Vista. It s not a special edition of Vista. It s the next operating system that s all. Currently, microsoft are planning to launch Windows 7 for touch screen devices in 2010.

It is the name of the new version of Windows which will release in 2009 or 2010.

I run IEamp; on my windows xp pro operating system. Its an upgraded version of internet explorer and has nothing to do with vista. It allows you to do a few more things like open up mutilple web pages in tabs instead of having separate web pages open. I like it.
