Windows 7 doesnt update. Error code 80070422? -

I just installed Windows 7 and its working very well and I like it. However, when I want to use Windows Update it tells me: Windows could not search for new updates An error occurred while checking for new updates for your computer. Error(s) found: Code 80070422 I ve googled the error and the solutions were to change the Windows Update service to automatic or the Background Intelligent Transfer Service to automatic. Both gave me the same results as before. Does anyone have a suggestion?

It is a common Windows 7 update error, possibly due to registry cleaners. The control panel troubleshooter doesn t seem to pickup any problem. By the way, I think anyone using 7 beta knows its a beta and knows of potential bugs. Therefore, quot;it is still a betaquot; is not an answer to someone s question.

Windows 7 at this stage is a public test beta version. You re not going to get any updates. Microsoft is just letting you play with it to get your feedback.

Remember, it a a beta version, not a release and is still buggy.
