Is a 4.7 Windows expierience base score good for COD 4? -

I have a base windows experience score of 4.7. Gaming graphics is 5.3, processor is 4.7, RAM is 4.8, and Hard Drive is 5.9 which is the highest. Could i play Call of Duty 4 decently?? Like medium settings with like 60fps?

COD 4 should run fine on medium settings with that vista score.

What is the best software for writing to CD? I have a Dell with 2 disk drives, windows ME, and use Corel 7.? -

I need to save Corel images, Are there any free downloads available online? Who are the best software manufactures for saving graphic images?

I like Roxio Easy CD Creator. When you have more files that will fit on one CD, it will automatically span to a 2nd or more CD and tell you first. Free download, I don t think so. You might try Nero CD burner lite. I believe that is FREE

nero

Consider upgrading to Windows XP. It has a built in burner, however, it can only burn 1gb by default (for dvd s). It does great for cd s. The other options are: * Easy CD Creator (comes with cd/dvd, however for dvd videos you will have to purchase an upgrade, consider MYDVD, now owned by Roxio, previously Sonic) *Nero *Try download.com for some demo s

Windows has a built in cd writing wizard, I use it when saving pictures to disk. Does a fine job for reg. pictures, I don t use Corel so don t know about saving those files but it could be worth trying.

Nero Express or Roxio

Are you wanting to know how to burn a CD? If this is the case simply download windows media player and the answer is there. With 2 drives simply place the dick you wish to burn and then a rewritable disk in the other,in theory, this should copy the disk. Ensure this is LEGAL and you are not pirating disks!!! Why in this age btw are you running Windows ME. It was a notoriously bad product and surprised you have on a DELL PC ..YPager was the main error and also deleting cookies and temporary internet files was tiresome......if i can assist..Email me at skyrocket_uk2003@yahoo.com All the best

Ahead Nero is the best software for CD writing.

Nero

I know many of the people will suggest NERO but it is a damn sickening software which will overburn your CD s as well as your pocket and ur *** . Go in for Express Burn * The best it is FREE and is just about 235 kb . Network XP with Windows 7 Beta? -

Can Someone tell me how to network a Windows 7 desktop with a Windows XP laptop so that they can share internet (Windows 7 has internet) and files? I already have the ethernet set up, so i just have software/o-s issues now. Any help

go to your router settings or check compliance of your router... check the configuration of you router also theres some option that will allow other os to work... --------------------------------------... im using a: Mac os x/Linux Ubuntu/Windows XPsp3/Vista hacking for freedom

If I install Windows 7 beta, will all my stuff be moved? -

Like, will it be moved a a folder called quot;Old Filesquot; or something? Or will it all stay at the same places?

I recommend the Dual Booting with Vista http://windowsaddict.blogspot.com/2009/0... When you download Windows 7 from the official source an activation key will be issued with your download which will take you through to August 1st. 2009 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... LUG.

Good Evening- My name is Jeff and I work with the Windows Outreach Team. Have you looked at the Windows 7 FAQ page or the installation instructions before? Here are the links in case that you have not viewed these pages. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows... Lastly, here are some words of warning from MS- Don’t install the Beta if you’re uncomfortable troubleshooting your own PC problems. Microsoft does not provide technical support for the Windows 7 Beta. Don’t install the Beta on your primary home or work computer. Microsoft is not responsible for downtime stemming from the Windows 7 Beta. Best, Jeff Windows Outreach Team

If you install as quot;upgradequot; all your existing files will be available in the new W7 system . If you do a clean install files will be lost. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows...

Windows 7 Beta Install Trouble? -

i ve tried installing the beta twice without success. After the first restart on my first install, the computer booted up into the install app, and moments later I got the BSoD. It rebooted and restored my Windows Vista. On my second attempt it got to the first restart, and right after booting up the install app, a message popped up saying the install failed. What is wrong and should I still try installing?

Questions like this go to your beta newsgroup.

Need to uninstall windows 7? -

I installed windows 7 as the only os and now I need to uninstall it, do I buy an upgrade version of windows xp or the full version? I dont have a backup and hp dosen t have one for my model (slimline s7700y) Thanks!

Hi bluelink12@sbcglobal.net, My name is Ron. I’m a member of the Windows Outreach Team. Just saw your question and thought I’d pop in and try to help out a bit. First, I’d suggest that you try and find your original OS discs (that’d be the easiest fix). If you can’t locate the original discs you can purchase a new version of either Vista or XP. Note: Microsoft stopped shipping XP on June 30, 2008. That doesn’t mean they aren’t out there, they are just considerably harder to find, so Vista is your best bet and also has the most up-to-date suite of tools. What’s the make and model of your printer? I might be able to point you toward some driver information. Hope this helped a bit. Cheers, Ron Windows Outreach Team

you can t buy xp anymore. microsoft attempted to shove vista on everybody and discontinued it. you can take your chance with a used copy, i have seen some people selling those on craigslist. good luck, you can also try ubuntu, its a great os with a very appealing desktop if you have a decent videocard.

Best bet is to buy a fresh copy of WIndows XP. Just a tip. Next time, use a program like VMware. Virtual machine software lets you run the operating system while still inside the main os. It is your best bet on playing around with different operating systems, especially the ones in beta like WIndows 7.

you did not follow instructions you need a full version If Windows 7 is the only system it might be enough to simply format the hard drive and install a new operating system. It is always better to install a new operating system on a clean system. http://windows7news.com/2009/01/28/unins...

buy a retail full version of either xp or vista personally i prefer vista but if your comp doesn t have the right specs it is a waste of a good operating system.

What is the best way cover windows to block out light? -

I need to block out all light from 7 windows at night when Im working because my neighbors say it is disruptive to their sleep. I need something cheap and able to be removed easily so i dont have an eyesore all the time. Not much $$ to spend and im living in a rented house so I can t put holes in the walls to put up drapes or curtains.

black garbage bags and blue painter s tape to not pull off the paint

Buy blackout window covers. They are a quot;vinylquot; window covering that can be rolled up and down. The can also be hidden really well when rolled up with a valence.

When I have worked late nights and have needed to sleep in the daytime, I use clothespins to temporarily hang blankets onto the curtain rods to block out the light

Disruptive to quot;theirquot; sleep? If your work is noisy, that s one thing! They need to get ther own blinds! Damn peeping Tom neighbours! Daylight is disruptive to shift workers too! I believe they have to solve their own problem! Good luck!

You could duck-tape aluminum foil in the windows.... also saves on AC expenses.

Aluminum foil is easy to use (be sure and have the shiny side face in your room, flat side out). People here in California use it all the time to block the bright, hot, sunlight out of their room. It will completely darken your room and it mold easily to the corners. Just use good tape to keep it up.

Buy some black fabric and tape it to the walls.I m sure it will work.Hope that helps!

I rent a room out from this lady and before i lived with her i had no idea u could do this. Im not sure if u want to do this but they make window tints for household windows and it actually works. If u want it for night time people can see in but u cant see out of ur windows. If u want it for the day time u cant see in ur house from the outside, but u can see outside from the inside. If this makes sense lol.

I bought some very heavy black plastic to put over my bedroom windows. There are also black window shades available. Why are your neighbors making this demand on you? Can t they put up their own shades?

You have the right to use your unit as you see fit. The neighbors should hang blankets over their windows or purchase black out curtains
