If you run the beta with the Basic (or maybe even Classic) theme then it would overall run about the same XP, maybe a little faster on boot up times. The Aero theme (with glass and transparency features) is far out of your league, however. Hope that helps.

It ll probably be slow. Really, I suggest you stay with your current OS. If you want Windows 7, I recommend a RAM update of at least 256Mb.
