windows 7 does exist, but is still in quot;testing stagesquot; because its new. they are releasing it because Vista had to many issues, so they made this operating system in hopes that people would like it more than windows XP and Windows Vista. technically its better than Vista.

Installing programs on windows 7? -

I have 2 hard drives with Vista on the first, and just recently, Windows 7 on the second. I have all of my programs installed on the first hard drive, and I need to be able to run them while using Windows 7. How do I install a program such as Itunes again without downloading it or copying all of the files over?

If the program is portable, just run it from the first drive. If it s not, you ll have to install it under Windows 7. (Which drive it s on doesn t matter - whether it was installed when Windows 7 was running does.)

Any program you want to use in Win7 will definitely have to be installed in that environment. You can t simply tell it to use the program that was installed in Vista. You won t have to copy all your music over - you can have itunes look in the same directory that the songs are already in. If it s a case where Win7 doesn t recognize your Vista partition, here s a link to a thread that tells you how to fix that.

You MIGHT be able to create a shortcut to the program on the second hard drive, This is possible on Externals but I m not sure about internals. Otherwise, you would have to re-download and install them on the second.

I like Roxio Easy CD Creator. When you have more files that will fit on one CD, it will automatically span to a 2nd or more CD and tell you first. Free download, I don t think so. You might try Nero CD burner lite. I believe that is FREE

Consider upgrading to Windows XP. It has a built in burner, however, it can only burn 1gb by default (for dvd s). It does great for cd s. Windows has a built in cd writing wizard, I use it when saving pictures to disk. Does a fine job for reg. pictures, I don t use Corel so don t know about saving those files but it could be worth trying.

Are you wanting to know how to burn a CD? If this is the case simply download windows media player and the answer is there. With 2 drives simply place the dick you wish to burn and then a rewritable disk in the other,in theory, this should copy the disk. Ensure this is LEGAL and you are not pirating disks!!! yup, I ve got it working. I know that some people have had audio issues which requires the realtek audio drivers. You ll find instructions on the link included as my source. pretty straightforward, make sure you turn on aero from the control panel. Edit- whoops didn t see the edit button. i updated my site with direct microsoft download links for non-ie users.

I just did this today with no problems and no driver issues. Instructions: 1. Open boot camp assistant in OSX 2. Create a new partition 3. Insert Windows 7 Beta disc 4. Mac will restart and enter windows installation 5. Install on [BOOTCAMP] partition 6. Once installed, insert OSX install disc that came with computer and install the boot camp drivers 7. You should be good to go... FYI - these instructions are for installing any OS onto boot camp. try it, but i wouldn t suggest any windows higher than an xp. well, aside from the fact that you won t actually be using that, you have a far superior OS imo., that s why you have a mac in the first place. aside from that bootcamp at this time is limited, so its good if the purpose would be for gaming and minor editing. otherwise apps for mac are better. if its anycase, try running parallels instead of bootcamp.

Probably not. Early releases of Boot Camp had problems with Vista, and that was after Vista had been released. Microsoft probably won t work with Apple on compatibility issues until after Windows 7 is released. You can try it, but be prepared to format and reinstall if it hoses up the machine.

How can i install Xp and Fedora On Same Pc? -

I have windows xp installed on my C Drive, and it is NTFS, now i want Fedora Core or Fedora 7 to be installed on D: Drive, Which is nTFS, i know i have to change D to ext3 or ext2 to install it, I want to ask that, if i install fedora can i switch between Xp and Linux, i mean can i use both windows, and will my other drivees appears on both OS, Fat32 and NTFS, Is there any chance of loosing Data of other Drives, as my data is too much important and i cannot take risk to lose data on my E and F drive, i have 9 GB on C: and 9.5 GB on D: and i think it is enuf for basic installation for fedora And Anyone Can please guide me which steps should i take to install fedora safely,

Backup all the required data on your D drive to some other drive. (This is because you will be required to format your D drive while installation) Now, insert Fedora CD/DVD and boot from that. Follow instructions, and choose quot;create custom layoutquot;. Now it will show a picture of your hard disk with all partitions. Delete D drive and create required partitions to install Fedora (at least 2, one ext3 for / and one for the swap. Swap should roughly be around twice your RAM.) Proceed with installation of fedora core. Yes, you can have both Windows XP and Fedora Core in your system. You cannot see Linux drives in Windows. But you can see all drives in Linux. For this, you need to install NTFS patch for Linux and have to make some modifications to /etc/fstab file in Linux.

When you format your D:\ drive to ext3/ext2, you will lose the files that were on it. However, as long as you did nothing to the C:\ drive, it ll remain untouched. After it s formatted and partitioned, just install Fedora to the drive and whenever you start up your computer it should ask you which OS you d like to boot into. Of course, before you engage in any serious computer alterations, it s highly recommended you back-up your files. You might want to burn important files to a CD, or back them up in some way. Hi, If your create free space of what drive you want...you can install Fedora 7 without any problems. You can shrink your ntfs partition (if needed) with partition magic. Just make sure that you have free (un-partition)space to install Fedora. During the install of Fedora 7, it will see the un-partition space and it will use it. Its safe and you will not loose your windows os. -R.
