I think I have tried just about everything I know in order to fix this, but I haven t found a solution just yet. Alright, I have a Dell laptop (its about 2 and a half years old) and I am testing out the beta for Windows 7, and every time I unplug my power cord from the computer, my screen goes really bright. It looks almost like the contrast and brightness are set to 100. The weird part is when I plug it back in, it goes back to normal. Any ideas? (And yes, this is just my secondary computer, so there is no loss, and I wouldn t recommend anyone testing the beta if they only have one computer)
sounds like it could be youre video card drivers, Or something to do with the registry that s reversed. usually on laptops the screen dims when you unplug it, turn power save on and off try both. As far as the registry editing goes i wouldn t even know where to start and which keys to edit, i would contact Microsoft, and if its common they might release a fix.
And what did you expect??? It IS BETA. Or, it may be your graphics card driver. Eventually, they will figure it out and fix it.
