How to Dual boot windows 7? -

I have Vista and then i have ubuntu on another partition, i want to delete ubuntu and install windows 7 on that partition. How exactly should i do it without messing up my vista?

Is Grub your bootloader? Because you will want to restore the Vista one. Use EasyBCD to restore the vista bootloader. BACK UP YOUR DATA - Just in case things go screwy (which they shouldn t) Use the Disc Management on Vista (Start gt; Right Click Computergt; Manage gt; Disc Management, if you have any 3rd party disc management tools these would probably be better. Delete the Ubuntu partition and create a new NTFS primary partition in its place. Boot from the Windows 7 disc and install to the new partition. In theory as 7s bootloader is similar to Vista it should behave in the same way, and should also detect that Vista is present on the other partition, and thus create a boot entry. If not, windows 7 should work with easy BCD, but if not you will have to mess around with bcdedit to re-add Vista to the boot menu. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libra... Best wishes and good luck

download a partition manages, format the ubuntu partition and install 7.. Or you could repartition your hdd into 3 partitions and instal 7 on that one without messing with ubuntu or vista
