Will Vista useres get Windows 7 for free? -

I have heard that everyone that has Vista will get Windows 7 for free when it comes out because Vista was so terrible... does anyone know more about this information..?

Microsoft give away free OS s? I doubt it. Vista is not bad, its just not for the average user.

I doubt it, Though I wish, I could really use a free price or a discount, I m running a Dell XPS and HP TouchSmart both with Vista Home Premium, and I don t want to have to pay for two copies of 7. Though I would also like Microsoft to release Windows 7 as a 64bit ONLY OS, 64bit is the future, It supports so much more ram and more CPU cores.

i m thinking since vista is being removed so quickly, microsoft will give some king of time limitation on getting it replaced for free. I doubt such a large company will make u pay for it if you were a vista user. They would lose a lot of service to apple if they did that.

The company Tech ARP are allowing people who purchase a machine with windows Vista after July 1st are eligible to upgrade to Windows 7 for free upon it s release. But that would mean if you purchased vista before july 1st will still ahve to pay for Windows 7.

Nope, especially given that Vista is fine. Most people who complain are either running it on underpowered hardware or unwilling to learn the new UI.
