Upgrading 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 on the same CD? or Not? -

Okay, so I have a 32-bit Dell computer and a 64-bit Toshiba Laptop. If I am going to install Windows 7 on both these computers, do I have to buy 2 different CDs, one for 32-bit and the other for the 64-bit? Or do I just need one single CD? Oh and IF I do have to buy two CD s, well, I can only buy one CD, so which one should I waste my money on? The 64-bit laptop or the 32-bit desktop?

As of the beta, they would not be on the same CD as Microsoft distributed different ISOs for each. I d spend the money on the one that you use more. Or your laptop. 32-bit should be going the way of the dodo. EDIT: Actually, Colinc, it s not the disc that matters, but the CD-code. It seems that Microsoft only gave out ~20 or so CD Keys that can be used infinitely for the beta. It was very nice of them.

You can not buy 7 yet, it is only available as a beta test version. All these copies will expire in August. You will need one disk for every machine you want to load on. A second one will not activate.

you should be able to just buy the one and use it on both computers i would buy the 32 bit first

no thats technically illegal you need two....
