How does windows 7 run ? -

I have to know is windows seven as much or a pig as vista is when it comes to ram ? Cause i have a dell desktop with 3 gb of ram and it`s a dual core model and the lowest i ever managed to get my ram usage was 35% is this good or bad ? I really want to know before i consider upgrading is the new version of windows as demanding on your system as vista is.

It seems to be much less than demanding. It is very peppy and it hasn t crashed once. It s beta and expires 8-01-2009 so I would advise a dual boot with a final version of Windows (XP or Vista).

Windows 7 has not yet been released. What has been released as a quot;betaquot; (or not yet complete) version of the program intended for testing, so it is impossible to state what the final version will be like. But it does appear the Microsoft is going to abandon the quot;protected modequot; used for most applications under Vista that was the major memory hog.

I have the beta ver installed on my 3yr old laptop and it seems at least as fast as XP if not faster. I mean it seems to NOT be a RAM hog at all. And best of all I can still play my COD2 game online.
