Why doesnt Windows Vista or Windows 7 come with decent accessibility software? -

I m using this question as a means to vent my frustration. Windows Vista/7 are supposedly to be revolutionary Operating Systems. They re supposed to make life easy. I ve been using a Mac for 5 years now because it has a useful screen zooming application bundled with their accessibility features (known as Universal Access). Did Microsoft forget about the disabled users out there? They re still shipping with the Magnifying Glass from Windows 95! Does Apple have a patent on screen zooming or something? Even Linux (Compiz/Beryl) supports zooming the screen while retaining quality. It does bi-cubic scaling/resizing (with assistance from the video card s GPU) rather than blow up the pixels. What annoys me the most is everyone bashes Vista for generic and often misunderstood reasons such as it s slow, or uses up all your memory (it does this for good reason). Yet noone seems to give a rats **** about accessibility features. If you do not know what I m ranting on about, please see: OSX Zoom: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IxoHlpmw... I couldnt find a video of the magnifying glass, but I can understand why noone would want to demonstrate it. It s horrible.

No one but a select few people currently have the chance to play around with windows 7, so we cannot say much about what windows 7 has or does not have. I dont work for Microsoft as a developer for their operating systems so i cannot tell you, but in this day in age i cant believe MS does not have proper accessibility software. There is nothing revolutionary about Vista .

Windows 7 has not been released yet. Why don t you make suggestions to Microsoft?
