I have windows XP and want to upgrade just from the computer, if anyone understands that haha? -

besides Vista, though, I heard it s going really slow and not worth the upgrade. Something about Windows 7 maybe ?

Windows 7 is not due out until the fall of 2010. Stick with XP

There really is no upgrade from XP yet. The next version (7) of Windows will be out maybe next year and you can try that if you like. Vista is blessed by some users and cursed by others but I believe it s just the user at fault and not the Operating System. XP is the easily the best version of Windows to date and Vista may be even better when they get it patched, which they are doing. I love XP and will wait to see what 7 does before I change. I can t understand why peeps gripe about XP since I ve had nothing but good experience with it.

Just keep XP but check for updates, clean out all your Temp files do regular, defrags, remove software you don t use, clean out all old e-mails etc and your machine will run happy as Larry, only upgrade if you need it. Vista is no big deal, got it and XP. However if you go to Vista site there you can do a compatabillity check to see if your machine is good enuff, it said mine was but it was not, so take care, after I bought Vista I then had to get a new Vid card, costing more than Vista. Regards DM

Windows XP is superior to Vista in speed and versatility. There is no need or reason to upgrade. (Unless you like wasting money and running slow.)
