Why cant i install programs on windows 7 beta? -

i have tried to install several applications like crysis, fallout 3, and adobe illustrator on my very capable pc with the windows 7 beta on it. whenever they try to install it comes up with a message that says quot;windows installer has stopped workingquot; please help!

That would be because it is the BETA version which means it is the TEST version which means that some aspects may NOT be guaranteed to work such as 3rd party applications.

Hey Taylor- Here is a list of threads from Microsoft’s TechNet Forum for Windows 7. Poke around and see if you can find an answer. After reading through a few it looks like you will have to dive into the registry to fix the problem. Windows 7 beta is still not fully launched and software u getting are only compatible till Vista version so there is no chance software getting installed on this version its like pluging in 3pin plug into 2pin socket

Why would you run those games on Windows 7 BETA?
