I want to upgrade my windows vista to windows 7. after it expires how can i downgrade back to vista? -

I want to try out windows 7 without losing any of my programs and saved files.

Hey Tyler- My name is Jeff and I work with the Windows Outreach Team. One way to get the Windows 7 Beta is to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 Beta. If you go this route, be sure to back up all your files. When the beta expires on Aug. 1, you will need to reinstall Windows Vista with your Vista disc. Your other option as PhonicUK pointed out is to dual boot with a clean installation. Microsoft recommends this method. Here is a link to the Installation instructions and FAQ page. You need to install it on a separate partition or on a separate physical disk. If you do an in-place upgrade, then you may not then downgrade back to Vista.
