I would have thought it to be highly unlikely. Windows 7 is likely to be quite different under the hood to Vista, although similar in appearance, so it would suggest an upgrade may not even be an option, or if it is, it would be very involved so making a possible upgrade pack very expensive, we shall see. nope, no free upgrade, the money you pay is for the COA (certificate of authenticity) so you would need a new one with the new windows version, so you will have to pay. even if it s been a month since you got vista.

They usually only give free upgrades when the next version is within a few months of shipment to get people to buy then rather than wait.
