Is anybody excited about Windows 7? -

I ve been using Vista at work and I m starting to get used to the features I hated about it when I first started using it. With Windows 7 on the horizon, I m thinking about building an i7 based machine and running Windows 7 on it. I m excited about the new OS and the new hardware. I haven t built a computer since Prescott-based XP computers were the hottest thing out. Are you excited about the new hardware? Are you excited about the new OS?

well as someone that has been testing it for a few months I will tell you that it is pretty nice, I really like what they have done with the GUI and the added features, they have also managed to improve the performance a bit which allows it to run on ultra portable sub notebooks, they have fixed a few of the annoying features from vista, but the kernel remains identical to vista, and the only reason vista is slow and problematic is because they decided to include a DRM system that runs beneath the os, and we all know DRM has always made things work slower or not work at all, and MS has done nothing to remove the crippling DRM and I do not think they ever will so amp; will probably be just as bad.

am running intel quadcore2 extreme q9650, with extreme motherboard dx38bt, 768mb video card, 4gb ddr3 ram, and i am used to using windows xpsp2. i know that my system is good to use vista. but i cannot see the point what for. all of my apps run on my pc. why fix something that is not broken? i am only excited regarding windows 7, if and only if prices of wacom cintiq and tablet pc s go down.

WIndows 7 is still Vista, so no, I m not too thrilled.

I imagine I ll hate it at first, but I ll get used to it.
