How to install and configure oracle 7 in to Windows Viesta? -

I want to intall oracle 7 in my windows viesta PC. But while configuring SQL net easy configuration for connecting the database from server its showing some error. Can anyone pls tell me how to configure oracle 7 in Windows Viesta.

Windows Viesta? Is that like after Windows 7? How did you get a copy?

Hi Buddy, The Oracle 9 and its previous versions are not supported on windows vista . Please download the Oracle express version from the Oracle site. you can install that . If that too will not work let me know , i will find some other alternative for your problem . I too faced the same problem at the beginning and then i tried with the Oracle 10 express edition .Its working cool in Vista. Thanks ~Raju
