After downloading 7 Windows Updates, my laptop says No Audio Devices are installed. WTF? -

I have Windows Vista... after dowloading the updates (like my computer told me to) my 2 month old laptop says No Audio Devices are installed... Funny, seeing I was listening to music just before I had to respart. What can I do???

Don t do a system restore because many people are having this problem including me. Follow these instructions. The sswsetup folder contains all the installation setups of drivers and programs installed on setup. Hope it helps. 1. Open C Drive 2. Find swsetup folder and open it 3. Find Audio folder 4. Start the setup

it seems like the audio drivers needs to be reinstalled . click start - in the search bar type device manager - hit enter - device manager window open - click on the + on the sound , video and game controllers - right click on the first option for the sound driver uninstall that and restart the pc ..in the mean time when the pc would be restarting ..as soon as you see the first screen ..( if you have HP or compaq ..you would see hp invent :) start tapping f10 - u would see the BIOS utility screen and then press f5 to load default settings and then press f10 to save settings and then the pc would restart ....gt;gt; im sure this would work ..if doesnt go to the website of your computer company and then go to driver downloads and update the driver for the sound gt; c ya

do a system restore click start type system restore in the start search bar press enter click on system restore restore to a point before the updates

I have had the EXACT same problem with MY 2 month old Presario Laptop. Email me your laptop Brand and Model and i ll help you (if you Want)
