I have a problem with windows 7? -

I have windows vista as well as windows 7 on my hard drive but whenever im booted into 7 my disc drive doesnt work. it s not shown on my computer either. When i go to the device manager it shows up but it says that there is a corrupted file of some sort. after searching for a while i found that it is probably a problem with the registry but I do not want to go messing my computer up by deleting random registry files. I can still use the drive in vista but 7 runs so much smoother and i like the interface more. if it werent for this problem then I would be in 7 all of the time. Thanks for the answers

No problems at this end although I see you have solved the issue. wizardmasterhp Windows 7 is nothing like Vista. For a Beta release it is incredibly stable. Have you tried it ?? Probably not ! LUG.

Unfortunately lots of people are having the same problem, i d suggest going to the microsoft update and see if there are any updates you need to download for it, which i doubt, download Firefox for now and just wait until Microsoft gets their Butts into gear and fixes it.

Windows 7 AKA Windows Vista (Yes they are one and the same) have constant issues with drives and memory ports I would suggest down grading your computer to Windows XP until the problems with Vista/7 have been fully worked out

Glad you found a solution wizardmasterhp isn t a programmer, he s a profaker!
